Heard on a podcast that we've now lost the same number of home games in the league this season than we did in 2008-09 with 2 still to go.

Just admit to listening to true faith

I listened to it as well.

Our league performances have been getting worse month on month. Villa away we looked good just missing a decent forward. Home to Liverpool and Arsenal we were unlucky and on another day could have won both. Although even then I was worried about the late goals conceded. We've got progressively worse since then. That's what worries me about Howe being in charge next season, he can't stop this juggernaut of bad form. And please, nobody say give him 3-4 months and if its no better than sack him end of the year. That's the worst of both worlds.

(I've excluded cups as the players always seem up for those games, which in itself is worrying about our management).

Well we can never really say when we should sack him in the future. All we can say is do we sack him now, if we keep then we discuss it again if he doesn't do well.

Whilst I admire and embrace the sentiment of the lyrics in Ebony & Ivory, it's an awful piece of music.

And Let 'Em In aka Someone's Knocking At The Door is best known for being the jingle for the Postcode Lottery adverts, which says all you need to know about that.

Just seems such a negative take for the manager who saved us from relegation, got us to the CL twice, and delivered a major trophy. You'd think you were talking about Bruce or something there.

There's more nuance to "more plan A" than you present there but even if Howe said "more Plan A next season, but better" then I'd trust him.

I get it, i completely get how it sounds but the situation is of his own making. There's no enjoyment in it happening.

At the moment, the most positive outcome we can hope for is he rebuilds in the summer and we go back to winning, doing the same thing but with different players. And i'm sure plenty would be ok with that.
But we can't unknow what we now know - what still won't have been addressed is the poor in-game management, the one plan, the inability to manage PL & Europe, the same coaches, the lack of focus on defence, no focus on keeping hold of the ball etc. We know what's coming next because as he has alluded to, he isn't for changing. And that is the biggest damage that has been done this season - it has shone the spotlight on his limitations where before all we knew were his strengths, and his limitations are deeply concerning for a club with our ambitions.

You will hate it as most to them are pretty much locked in to Howe out.

Listened to Pod on the Tyne because, for all its faults, by design it's fairly balanced and not overly emotional. I can't hack it at the moment; I'm fearful as much as the next person that 'The Project' is in tatters, but I just cba listening to folks go all in on these people who've given me some of my best days following the club. It's too depressing and painful.

Pod on the Tyne is nigh on unlistenable unfortunately. I did read Waugh's piece and it was a critical as I can recall from him

Latest episode was just Caulkin and Waugh sensibly picking the bones out of it all. They're alright when they've not got Taylor Payne there.

Love Mull of Kintyre, it brings back fond childhood memories.  “It’s Along Way to the Top” by AC/DC best song ever to include the bag pipes.

Might give it a listen in the morning then. Some behind the scenes insight (if they have any) would be nice as something is clearly not right.

Not one of their worst. 2 Howe Out, 2 Howe In. You can hear the reasons for both. Also useful as a barometer.

The best question they posed to the two Howe In fans was:

If NUFC lose every game the rest of this season, does it change your mind?

This is the best bagpipe song ever. End of discussion.

One of the two Howe In fans on the podcast said it didn’t matter. I think there’s still a sizeable amount of fans who are in the same boat.

Since I don’t really expect a turnaround, I wouldn’t want to sack Howe this season. It’s not really realistic to expect much to change in the position we’re in now.

If he’s up for a rebuild and we have transfer plans in place then go for it. I think the rest of the season will be awful but overall I think Eddie Howe is a very good manger and I’d rather go again with him.

Of course if there’s a world class manager lined up then you couldn’t complain.
