If any true Newcastle fan resents us winning to justify their view on Howe I’d be very surprised. We all want the best for us, we just have different views on what that is (best for NUFC). The only time I can remember people not really giving a fuck when we lost were the Bruce years when it felt so hopeless, it’s the complete opposite now. That's all there is to it. If everyone was in agreement about everything this place would be redundant. I’ll not be calling for him to be sacked and I’ve been wrong about him twice in the past. Before he then massively turned it around. All that said. This time, I genuinely don’t see how he is going to change our fortunes. The performances have been pretty bad in the league all season and the squad needs a huge overhaul. Despite just spending big (and wasting a lot of money) in the summer. Cliche and a bit of a throwaway comment. One is a situation where the motivation is winning a final, then going for CL before a break and another where the motivation is a slim chance of Europe followed by a World Cup they'll want to stay fit and injury free for until then.
