Most of the top clubs in our league were looking for a manager, and Howe hasn’t been linked with any of them. I haven’t seen a fan of any of those clubs suggest him.

Chelsea, Man utd and england wanted him, they do

Can't be arsed to read (educate), wrongly guess it's all Howe out, embarrassed for that made-up assumption, and starting to move away from supporting the club as a result?

Sounds fucking mental.

Not this again.

We were rock bottom, had won one game in fourteen very luckily and had a player revolt when Sir Bobby was sacked in a season he was retiring at the end of anyway. It was nothing to do with the fans. The infamous Wolves game was four months earlier in a different season.

Why is it embarrassing?  Half the squad seems to want out - clearly something is not right.

People wouldn't talk about Keegan or Robson in the same breath as Kinnear or Bruce, or treat them the same in any way, shape or form.

You need to value and respect your club legends. Which is understood by proper football fans the world over. The fact you don't get it says a lot.

What a crock of shit. There was no comparison in anything I said. 4 people who held the same job and you say they should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Get a fucking grip!

What control is this?

Most top clubs have a sporting director and recruitment structure that isn’t built around one manager’s preferences. Newcastle have given Howe far more influence than managers from most other clubs. They also certainly don’t start handing key recruitment roles to family members.

Howe has been linked with all 3. And those links are all we're privy to, we've no idea what's gone on behind closed doors. If he's been happy here and unwilling to entertain other offers then nothing will ever get off the ground.

But ours isn't particularly built around the manager's preferences.

Howe has worked under and had positive relationships with Ashworth and Wilson (to date). Obviously him and Mitchell fell out, but that seems like it was handled poorly by both parties.

Sure, nepotism may have influenced the apportionment of Andy Howe, but let's be honest, despite him being a scapegoat for fans, none of us have an awareness of how good he is at his role.

I have no doubt Howe is a bit of a control freak and likes things done a certain way (like most managers), but he's always spoken of collaboration and working within the parameters of s recruitment team. I've always found the stuff avout his involvement in recruitment a bit bemusing.
