relámpago blanco
Do we really foresee a situation where half the squad is replaced in one window money not being an issue? Would be massive disruption to the squad with so many new recruits to bed in and gel and a risk of failure. Most likely the likes of Manquillo, M Longstaff, Darlow get 1-2 extensions, bring back Murphy from Wednesday to bulk of the squad, plus 4-5 new signings. Matty should, others no, even under the current regime.
Toon No9
I would keep M Longstaff, Manquillo and maybe sign Willems from that list.
relámpago blanco
Manquillo is shit, I don't understand this or any love for Manquillo. We should sign Willems
Toon No9
Manquillo is shit, I don't understand this or any love for Manquillo. We should sign Willems Manquillo has been ok this season. Would keep him as backup and get rid of Yedlin and Krafth. A new RB for the starting XI is needed though.
triggs
Carroll for ten games a season > Gayle and/or Muto for ten games a season. Gayle and/or Muto would probably actually be available for those ten games though
Guest Carrick18
Didn't realise including loans we've got 11 players leaving including 2nd and 3rd keepers unless extensions are made (most aren't worth an extension). We need to be very active in the next window. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/newcastle-united/vertragsende/verein/762 On the one hand that's concerning, but I had read some industry experts on Twitter predicting a significant price drop in terms of transfer fees this summer. If we have an owner willing to invest significantly we could garner could value for money.
Rafalove
If 150 mil is the amount we have to spend I would Do the following business in: Aarons-£25,000,000 Willems-£6,000,000 Camavinga-£55,000,000 Tonali-£55,000,000 Fraser-free Under-£25,000,000 Callejon-free Then try and bring in any of Cavani/giroud/Mertens on a free Out: Clarke-£8,000,000 Yedlin-4/5,000,000 Shelvey-£7/8,000,000 Hayden-6/7,000,000 Ritchie-£8,000,000 Gayle-£8,000,000 Probably got a few valuations wrong but fuck it

khay
We will need Carroll for our European trained at club pool lads. Might even be worth taking Krul back as third keeper for that very reason.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Was listening to a podcast Someone posted with Duncan Castles a few days ago where they were talking about him. Apparently he’s very similar to H Kane From YouTube scouting he has a bit of Drogba about him in terms of the power coupled with a bit of pace with good finishing I understand both comparisons to a degree. He is physically aggressive and strong, but really quite a pure goal scorer, and uses his physical gifts to hassle defenders and run the channels so he can try to get behind the defence and score. Not really the target man that Drogba became, but still young of course. Very excited about him as a prospect, Nigeria hasn't had a real striker for ages and seems to constantly turn out wide players, fairly rubbish link forwards or talents that struggle for a real position like Musa and Iheanacho. Osimhen looks a different breed to those and would be a big signing, imo.

Norwegian-Geordie
Heard the new owners want to bring Santiago Munez back so he can finish his career with us. And apparently Gavin Harris is expected to have some kind of role in the backroom staff
TRon
Sky Sports running the story that we are getting ready to pay £70m for Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli if the takeover goes through. Sounds like bollocks tbh. If we are going to have FFP rules to consider, why would we spend a massive part of our budget on a central defender? I definitely remember Simpson - who was pretty gash - being an integral part of that backline along with was it Huth and Wes Morgan?

According to some football finance experts we’ll have £150,000,000 plus player sales to spend at most. Is it really a good idea to spend nearly half our budget on a player in a position we don’t need when we need 10-12 players.
