Would love us to play 3-4-3 instead with wingbacks and two wide forwards/wingers. We aren't buying players to fit into any formation, they are being bought as investments for resale value. We have lost/sold four first team squad players from last season and signed one so far. We are at least SEVEN first team players short for this season. This season will be a huge struggle. We can only assume Steve Bruce is happy with his squad. He seems very reticent to move players out and hasn't sanctioned any transfers in bar the one. Think they’re getting close to that. In Ake, Brooks & Wilson in particular they’ve got a few players in that £40-60m bracket now that some of the top clubs might come looking at within the next 12-18 months.
