OpenC
They'll be back not caring about the women's game before you know it I see it now needs "massive reform", presumably before we spend any more money

OpenC
I don't know if they'll just keep it to the lower bowl again so maybe not quite doubled but I would have thought we'll be well into the 20s

jack j
Didn't they get close to 30k at SJP for a game the other year?

Iwantcurlyhair2
Amber Keegan Stobbs and Beth Lumsden were the best two on the pitch by a country mile. Amber leading by example all season. Certainly haven't been outplayed at all this season. Loving it.
OpenC
I wasn't convinced by Lumsden last season but she's really won me over, she's been brilliant this time round.
Iwantcurlyhair2
Beth has followed Anthony Gordon's lead. Sign in January, take 6 months to settle and then explode on the pitch.
Heron
Got to be great for womens football that Newcastle are taking so many fans, even if it is intermittent.

Rtg think it's the end of all that is good. The same board that called their player of the season "a bit fat" when she joined us.

I honestly believe it will be our new record attendance by a few thousand also
LFEE
Didn’t feel there was much improvement from watching them for my only previous time when they played SJP the first time. Number 23 still the standout player. Maybe the midfielder with the long ponytail also looked to have some potential.
Paullow
It will be interesting to see what sort of crowd they attract. I believe the below are the competitive games they have had at SJP, and the respective attendances: May 2022 - Alnwick, 22,134, Tier 4 league Nov 2022 - Barnsley, 28, 565 FA Cup April 2023 - Bradford, 24,092, Tier 3 league Feb 2024 - Portsmouth, 22,307, Tier 2 Cup semi final Plus SELA Cup friendlies in the summer of 2023 and 2024. I was thinking the time of year might impact things, but then the one in November 2 years ago was the best crowd they have attracted. Pricing could be a big factor as to whether it gets early twenties or early thirties, but it's almost certainly going to break yesterdays record either way. I've been to the last 2 matches but my brother and his 2 young sons says they aren't fussed of going this time, so I'm not sure if I'll go.

Stifler
2 clubs from the Woman’s Championship are to trial alcohol in the stands. It is believed that Newcastle is one of them. Last year they were able to have alcohol in the stands, but an FA law prohibits it in the stands of the WSL, and the Championship, unlike the law in the men’s game which is actually U.K. law. Umm, why on earth would it be allowed at a men's game but not allowed at a women's game? Did some pompous ass decide that because it's a women's game there will be women and children there so no drinks for them?

They are going to trial it at 2 Champions woman’s game, which would then lead to a trial at all women’s games, which would then lead to them saying to the government that it was a success, and that they should think about changing the law so that it can be allowed at the men’s game. OpenC
They made a proper fuss about it the first game back at Kingston Park, but I don't think they were even looking at what people were taking out. Edited October 20 by OpenC
