Manxst
Sanchos wages are WELL out of our current price range (300k or 350k a week iirc?)

Guess it depends on if he thinks he'd get that from another club. If not, he might have to take a fraction of that otherwise he'll have to run his contract down. andyc35i
Amazing to think that you can have all the experience, talent and money in the world, but if your head’s not right, you’re going to be struggling. Hope the lad can get some help and turn things around

He’s on £350kpw until 26/27 so it’ll be a while yet until it gets to the position where he’s thinking of running his contract down. Given that time, why would he go elsewhere for significantly less money?

Either is a good position for him.

RodneyCisse
Maybe it’s too much too soon for him, earning a million a month at 22 must do things to your head.
AyeDubbleYoo
It was really weird how he wasn't given a proper chance at Man Utd. Shows how dysfunctional the was I suppose.
Stottie
The circus at ManU won't have helped Sancho, but given where he was two years ago, it must have disappointed him to not go to the WC and to have not deserved to go to the WC.

I think that rules us out
joeyt
This Youssouf Fofana any good for France? Seems to be a starter for a potentially World Cup winning team and he's only young-ish and at Monaco Edited December 14, 2022 by joeyt

AyeDubbleYoo
Only just came in to replace Rabiot, hadn't seen him play before that.
joeyt
I think the Joao Pedro boat might have sailed but he scored two great goals today with Bilic saying this: "Pedro, if you talk about him, it is sometimes scary when you know he is only 21. To play so consistently at that high a level, it is great for us. "He is good in the air. When the keeper is hitting a long ball, he is winning those balls, he is doing well in the midfield. "He's this kind of player, the way he's improving on a weekly basis. The game-changers are always the ones who are deciding the game." The Prophet
Didn't we allegedly try to buy him even after signing Isak? Wouldn't surprise me if we go back in for him.

He fits the bill, can play across the front 3 and do either out and out striker or wing forward role really well. The new contract is surely just to push the eventual transfer fee up. Wolfcastle
Yeah. Saw someone say the other day that they're so at peace with Ashworth/Howe in the market that its taken a bit of fun out of it. The idea of Ashworth's Brighton business with out budget/future budget and pull is most assuaging. Not heard of a player?! Doesn't matter. Total trust in them. Would love McAllister. SUPERTOON
Pretty sure Ashworth said himself wasn’t responsible for finding the players at Brighton mind.
