Sven Botman back late December/early January 'at the earliest' (Howe)

We don't concede that second goal if he's on the pitch.

Unfortunately it could be a while before he's back out there again. That's a big whack to any chance we had of improving on last season if he's out for more than a month.

Good job we can juggle some numbers and buy/loan a defender before the window shut(I’m clinging to positives!)

Quite happy seeing burn in his position for a few games and let Targett & Hall get some game time. If its any long than 4-5 games then we probably need to accelerate the persuit of a top CB partner for him on his return.

Honestly think Burn is better as a LB than a CB, in our side at least, despite his limitations. If Botman is out for any period of time I think we'll experience a painful underscoring of just how good he is and how critical he has been.

Would prefer lascelles than burn

Botman injury is the worst possible injury for us right now, maybe except from Pope. Even the fact that he is a LCB instead of RCB is another thing that makes it even worse.

Ciaran Clark is available for free.[emoji38]
