Still think burn will be pushed into leftback when botman is fit enough to start matches. Howe loves big dan.

We have a lot of genuine elite players in our team now, and Lewis Hall is probably the best of the lot.

He is there for the next ten years, and probably for England too.

Surely you can see that?

 This obsession over Howe having 'favourites' that he will shoehorn in to the team no matter what needs to stop. He's not going to drop one of our player of the season front runners just to appease Dan Burn. Fucking demented.

I respect your opinion but your talking like you know it will not happen. I'm just going of howe and burns relationship.

"Howe loves Longstaff, he'll never, ever drop him. You know how he loves his favourites".

Oh... oh wait.

Just look at how much he's appeased his former Bournemouth bum buddies Fraser, Kelly and Wilson.. He's just not ruthless enough, is Eddie.

Let's be honest it took a long time for him to finally drop the bugger. 😂

And look how it's turned out. He knows what he's doing. Easing Tonali into a role which requires huge tactical discipline is not the same as dropping one of our best performing players to accommodate a player that has done great at CB but has clear weaknesses at LB. Hall isn't getting dropped for Burn outside of the occasional resting.

I think it's possible, even likely that Botman will have to fight for a starting spot with Burn given how well he's done at CB. Before long it'll be Sven's again but I wouldn't be at all shocked if even when fit he's not an immediate starter every game.

 I'll never get over 10+ years of shite managers rushing injured players back; the suspicion it's too early will always be there.

Remember this time around 5 years ago Bruce playing Lejeune every single game after he'd been out for a year and he got torn to pieces

Lejeune was such a what if. Looked so good before Harry Kane did one of his characteristically 'uncharacteristic' Harry Kane things.

Had a quick google of Lejeune to see how he's been getting on. Since he left us just one injury, out for a month in September 2021 with an ankle injury. He's played 30+ league games in La Liga every year since he left us.

Nice he's been able to play out his career.
