Groundhog63
I've done both ACL's. Left one playing football, right one skiing in Val Thorens. NHS fixed both, by the incomparable Mr Deehan, tho but Granted I'm a 13.5 clem 60yr old but I can still hoy myself down the slopes without so much as a twinge. Having said that my arsehole goes 50p/5p on some of them. He'll be back.

I'm not going to say anything else about it because I don't want to abuse their trust... There's just no evidence of that. It there's rumours of it being a reoccurrence, I haven't seen it. I mean if he has damaged his ACL. Comeback and looked miles off it, slow and not agile like before. With him now damaging it beyond repair/rupturing it. I fail to see how they’re not linked. By no means a specialist. But had 4 ops in the same knee. Two involving my ACL and had to do all of the mind numbing, depressing physio. So I do take some interest in it.

Shadow Puppets
5 minutes ago, TRC said: Its not just a one off case though. Barnes being out an additional month. Anderson adding 2 months to his recovering Willock multiple setbacks Longstaff playing through injury when we have Miley who is more rested now. Wilson/Isak needing to rotate and then playing 90 minutes when we know they couldnt do it. Gordon being ruled out on the Friday playing the full 90 the next day. Murphy being ruled out, coming back for about 5 minutes. Burn breaking his back, and then being rushed back in when Livra was in form, he didnt break down but hasnt been the same since. I feel the evidence is fairly overwhelming? I can address a few of those with facts if you like... - Barnes was out for an additional month, not because of a medical issue or something that the club had done (those pesky rubbish medical staff eh), but because the injury simply hadn't healed as fast as they initially thought it would. - Anderson, same. I spoke to his Dad recently who just said it was a really frustrating time... took ages to heal. Not sure what you want our medical staff to do about that. - Murphy was going to need surgery either way... it was just a matter of when. It just happened to reoccur in the first match back, but it's pretty common for a player with that injury to attempt to play on until the problem reoccurs. Jacob requested to postpone surgery so he could help the team, tested his shoulder prior to making himself available for selection, but it obviously didn't work. Not sure, again, why that has to be anyone's fault... doesn't seem to me like it caused any particular harm in attempting to get a few more games out of him. I know about those three + Sven's injury from the horses mouth, or from people pretty much adjacent to them. The others, I have no idea.

timeEd32
Feel terrible for him. Literally the only good news so far in our injury crisis was that nothing had happened that would impact next season yet and Tonali is only going to miss two games. That's out the window now though. You have to wonder how many of these players are either being rushed back from injury or forced to play when they are not 100% fit. I have news for you mate... 90% of players in the premier league right now are playing with some kind of injury... some ailment. Some worse than others. Practically nobody is 100% fit. That's the nature of professional sport.
