timeEd32
Really an incredible piece of business. All in (incoming fees + wages saved) between him and Shelvey this probably unlocked close to £30M if we assume Shelvey would have triggered his extension. You can mentally account for that however you want, but it's a huge help for our summer business.

Skeletor
Awful signing, great recoup value. Only £10m down the toilet in the end.
et tu brute
Whoever insisted on the length of the trigger for the permanent transfer has more than earned his keep. Vital as the usual length seen in contracts would have seen him in all likelihood still at the club, with respect of when his injury occurred. I'm sure I read it was done like that so Forest didn't have to make payment until the next financial year otherwise it would have been done immediately in January

Teams WANTED Newcastle to go down. Seemed like nobody wanted to do business. Get that new money out of here. The fact that over half that cost was sent back by Forrest made it decent deal Eddie was obviously happy with. Am I glad he's gone? Yea. Did a job. Was nervous at the time with Isak and Wilson injury records and the potential strain on midfield but it worked.

Lingard released, not getting him might prove to be one of the best bits of transfer business we did in that January window.
Paully
We were desperate for a focal point up top and he did score a few vital goals for us! Good luck to him! Edited June 3, 2023 by Paully
gbandit
Will always remember him fondly for being a positive presence and part of the side that kept us up. The transfer could not have worked out better for us given we stayed up and sold him on so quickly. Top man

LiquidAK
Came in when we needed a focal point, did a decent job - dare I say a fairly underrated job in leading our press. All in all a great transfer, gave us what we needed and we've recouped a fair bit of the value. That video of him walking into the dressing room after scoring a winner and hearing the whole squad cheering was class. Wish him nothing but the best - hope he can find some form at Forest. Cheap, when he's been in the side has looked great, has only been kept out by injury and the current back 5 being the best in the league.
