HaydnNUFC
The thread translated; Bruno Guimarães participated in the Gringolândia podcast, from @geglobo, and commented on his arrival at Newcastle United. You can follow the episode on the main platforms of the modality and on the GE website. Below are some excerpts. #nufc About his arrival at the club, Bruno Guimarães commented: "It was a very quick negotiation, in 4.5 days we solved everything... I never hid my desire to play in the Premier League, it was always my dream and goal." On the choice to sign for Newcastle United, given the club's situation in the table: "I'm a player who loves challenges and I knew it would be difficult. But I spoke with the owners and with Joelinton. It was a very difficult decision of my life, it was not easy." About the project: "I believe in the project. The fans are passionate about the team, it's too different. Next season I believe it will strengthen to, who knows, seek a spot in the Champions League, in the Europa League. " About Eddie Howe: "I believe a lot in the coach. He's a very smart guy in my perception. He's a guy who likes to work, so he's always looking to improve the players. He's always showing videos, he's always trying to be better than the other coaches." On the perception of the crowd: "The guys here have already made music, shirts with my photo. Shirts with several pictures of me. When I make passes it's 'Bruno, Bruno, Bruno'. It's been really cool, I'm enjoying it a lot here"

Danh1
See that’s what I don’t get. We have Bruno saying he thinks we will push for the CL next season and he’s constantly talked about “the project” and then Edwards is adamant we are only going to spend £50 mil. I haven’t got a problem at all with “only” a £50 mil spend, but I don’t see it being true when Bruno is coming out with quotes like that. And then Merhdad is saying FFP is our only barrier to spending.

We built a canny side with not much investment in 2012, but didn’t continue to build the squad and as we know, had a piss poor manager.

Just sitting here thinking how cool it would be to qualify for the CL with a transfer spend of zero. Obviously I'm imagining they all come because they just want the opportunity to play for the world famous Geordies, and not the salary.

madras
I wonder if clubs focus on transfer fees as much as fans do, instead of the cost of the deal ?
JNK
Will start today for Brazil alongside Fabinho and Coutinho in the middle. Tite made 7 changes to the team. Edited March 29, 2022 by JNK

Hope he’s got some oxygen handy. Was there when Bolivia beat you 2-1 back in 2009, mad that they’ve still got the same striker starting upfront. Disco
Another assist. Paqueta for the gol. Could’ve been better if he wasn’t slow as fuck. 2/10.

Disco
Very casual finish which is worrying; no sprint for the celebration either.
JNK
1 assist, 1 goal and created the last goal. But he can't sprint so he's rubbish

Newcastle Fan
Pretty much created the first goal on his own and a fantastic finish for the second, him and Paqueta seem to have a really good understanding.

The Prophet
Bruno and Paqueta linking up next season will be a thing of beauty.
LV
I’d love to see that. I do like Joe Willock but that would be a huge upgrade. Wonder if Eddie would be worried about too much of a clique forming though given they are such good friends. And whether he has the right character is important as we know. The Prophet
I might be mistaken, but I think we originally enquired for Paqueta when we bought Bruno.
