It was definitely a dive. If an opposition player does that them you're calling it a dive.

Bruno is typically very good at winning fouls by drawing in any contact and making something of it. Got it wrong this time because of his desire to win a penalty.

There's a fine line between gamesmanship and drawing fouls and making something of them and diving.

Thought maybe the AR had said something to him and that’s why he blew up and booked him.

I cannot remember if it was this foul or another, but the referee seemed unsure whether it was even a free kick at first, then proceeded to book him. Which in the stadium seemed bizarre.

I didn’t think the lino flagged did he? Strange if he said something without signalling for a foul. 4th official isn’t allowed to say anything, is he? All seemed a bit odd, to me.

It was that one. Just stared for ages. You can hear Mavididi shouting for the ref, then a few Leicester players complain and he blows up 5 seconds later.

It’s a very fine line though. I don’t think anyone would bat an eyelid if Harry Kane did that and got a pen for it.

It was the reaction of the players that changed the refs mind. He was fairly weak overall on things like that.

it would’ve been a nailed on penalty if Bruno had just waited a second for the contact to come . He’d already kicked the ball in front and done the difficult part but just threw himself down inexplicably. It was really dumb.

Just watched the MOTD coverage where they were saying he should've been sent off for two yellows. Such a thick argument.

If he'd been booked for dive, he almost certainly wouldn't have made the second challenge. Complete moot point that they wasted two minutes discussing.

The second challenge looked like a red in real time. Changed my mind on seeing it on tele.

They couldn't in all fairness book him for diving there as the defender did clatter him without getting anywhere near the ball. Yes Bruno was looking for it, but he still took him out. Not a pen, but if it had been given VAR couldn't have overruled it, that puts things in perspective.

Feels like we'd be the ones holding all the cards here given how city's season is going.

It would hurt to lose Bruno but given how Tonali seems to be making the position his I don't think we can turn down silly money plus maybe a player or two.

Also given we've basically been on city's side when it comes to PSR stuff so we think they're more likely to "do us a favour" when it comes to transfer fees? Or nothing in that?

I don't think so, they know the rules are holding us back too.

For all that Bruno does on a football park it is a struggle for me to watch him and think, slow, he does a load of things incredibly well to counter for that, and when you are in the minefield that is a game of midfield in the EPL what he does well makes up for any lack of pace.

He would walk in the Man City team at the moment in favor of Gundogen who I wouldn’t for instance swap for him now, at all.

That said, Man City can go fuck themselves
