It’s honestly a wonder that they don’t burn Bryan Ferry in effigy given that he’s from Washington and supports the mags …

Is that confirmed? Never seen either way, thought he’s prob not a football fan.

Yeah he’s talked about going as a kid previously, don’t suppose he bothered once he got into hunting etc.

He certainly liked playing. Canny side at the old Washington Grammar School if you’ve got Howard Kendall playing alongside you. One of his many cousins lived 2 doors down from us. She went down to visit him in London one time and he had a couple of Page 3 girls in his gaff.

Tbh any mackem I’ve asked about their chances of promotion has been very cautious, having been burned many a time they’re very hesitant about being confident

RTG mustn't have received that particular memo then given the talk of them pissing the league this season and putting us in our place next season!

Leeds Leeds 😂

Super super Leeds, super super Leeds, super super Leeds super Leeds United.

And the other clubs at the top are either level or just behind them. I said last month that the games they had were all against the teams placed in the bottom half of the table. They won't go up automatically and I doubt they will be in a play off position either. They will stink the lower leagues out for a few more years yet.

They’ll be claiming that those accounts on RTG doing that are mags as the wheels come falling off

Sheff U and Leeds to go up automatic, plenty of time for sundrawland to miss the play offs too.

Burnley & Leeds for auto top spot. Sheff utd in the play offs, for me at least. Easily the 3 strongest squads, just didn't get out the blocks but will get stronger as the season goes on and have been in that position before.

Think Burnley might be hamstrung by having Scott Parker there. Agree theyve definitely got 3 of the strongest squads but think Leeds and Sheff Utd will finish above them.

Shows the state of that league when they're only 16 games in, mackems haven't won for a full month now yet they're still level on points with top team Leeds [emoji38]

They’ve got two massive home games this week. Will know more about how things will pan out for them by 10pm Friday.

Not comparing them Sunderland’s season is still young in comparison, but how big were them two away games under Benitez at Brighton and Hudds? Won them both as well. That never happens to us.

Parkers got two promotions in that league with Fulham and Bournemouth. I think he can definitely take them up. It’s in the top flight he usually gets found out as manager.

A quick check shows them 8 points behind the leaders and 8 points ahead of 13th placed Brentford so not very well would be my guess!

Qick check also shows the point i replied to was 'how are they still up there' and they could easily be 4th by 11pm Wednesday.....

In fact could just as easily be 5 points off 8th by then if results go badly

I think he was just stating that less than 4 months into the season (16 games in) to go an entire month without winning and still being top, or level on points at the top now, is pretty unusual.

They could also easily be top by 11pm on Wednesday. All they need to do is beat West Brom who sit in 6th place despite only winning 1 in their last 10!

I know what he said, was a tongue in cheek reply that you decided to jump on being an arse. I prefer my version of the outcome but never mind
