Their new thing of comforting themselves is definitely saying it's a third rate or mickey mouse trophy

Aye, wasn't third rate when they got to the final against Man City in 2014 though.

The daft cunts think they'll be awarded that cup when City get relegated and have all their trophies taken away. Tragic.

Very much doubt it. He's never going to get a bigger club than Sunderland and his family are all ardent red and whiters.

Best find his pen to sign a new contract fairly sharpish then….

Man City beat us in the fourth round that year, should give it to us.

And when that doesn't happen they'll award themselves the cup anyway.

Genuine question, Are any of you hoping that Sunderland get promoted this season?

As much as I hate United, I hope they stay shit and linger around the bottom half of the table for good, I wouldn't want them to get relegated because it's great twatting the cunts.

Newcastle v Sunderland are always spicy games, As a neutral I'd love to see them go up to have this game back on the fixture list.

Indifferent tbh.

Watching them wallow in the lower divisions, whilst convincing themselves they have a squad of generational talents worth millions and millions is something to behold.

However, playing and beating them is always a tremendous thing, so wouldn’t be adverse to that either. And given the way promoted clubs are struggling nowadays, seeing them recreate one of their sub-20 point relegations, would also be enjoyable.

As much as it's great beating them, we've not done that much over the last 15 years despite having a better squad than them. It's that reason why I wouldn't want them up, you just never know. Man Utd have been shite for 10 years now, but they've still beat Man City on multiple occasions, including this season, it can happen.

The thought of losing to them next season is horrific, much outweighs the thought of the joy of beating them for me. We know we're better than them so even beating them isn't that special. But we lose? Fucking hell.

And it can happen, we lost at Luton last season, so quality doesn't always matter.

I do completely understand that, and obviously I’m not adverse to them wallowing in lower divisions forever more.

But ultimately, we want to be comfortably beating them time and time again. Imagine how badly they would take a reverse #6inarow.

If they got relegated repeatedly to the Vanarama North, I'd still want them to go down again.

Nope. It’s great punching down on the racist hick cunts.

Said it once and I'll say it again, it's a no win (metaphorically) for us.

Win and 'so we should have'

Lose and never hear the fuckin end of it.

Rather they rot and don't get an opportunity at their cup final.

I want them to go bust and cease to exist as a football club

We hoover up the next generations support

We become a footballing powerhouse

So much so that economic borders are redrawn and most of 'Wearside' becomes a suburb of a newly formed Greater Newcastle

Huge deposits of oil and lithium are found beneath Jarrow

We secede from the UK and becomes the richest country on earth

A new earths capital is built spanning south and north shields

World peace is achieved

All because Eddie Howe took us to Wembley and won a cup.

I don’t want them up either, but we haven’t beaten them often in the last 15 years because for more than half of it we’ve been playing in different divisions, and for the other half we were mostly shite (as were they)

What Wilson said basically

With me I feel we could beat them 9 times out of 10, finish ahead of them every season, concievably forever, win cups and just be by any definition uncompetitively superior but one win over us you know what they'd be like.  They're still milking 6 in a row 10years since - a whole one more win in a row than nobody gave a fuck about us getting a few years earlier.

For 8 years the closest they got to us was getting relegated 17 places below as we were finishing 2nd, the average gap was probably 25places and nobody mentioned 'top dogs' until they finished a few places above us in 2000. Challenging for titles, entertainers, cup finals, European football, CL, beating them constantly for 8years was forgotton because they beat us for the first time in 9years in 99.

I don't know, I just expected a bit of humility like 'nice to finally get one over you' or something rather than a shift in the pecking order based on fleeting moments in the sun ('sun' by their standards).

I wouldn't want them to win a coin toss against Hitler.

Let them rot amongst all the other dross in the lower leagues, it's their natural habitat.
