"They'll finish 6th at best, no chance they beat Arsenal and Everton are spoilers."

No chance Newcastle can beat the team they've beaten three times this season.

Same numpty has been saying the same thing the last 7 games [emoji38]

Some proper comfort blanket posts there :D

These are just from the first couple of pages...wait until it gets to 20 pages !

"Hopefully get humiliated & struggle in in the premier league like last time they were in CL"

"Couldnt give a shit me they stopped being our rivals a couple of years ago"

"Blows my mind that people are bothered tbh. I stopped giving a shit about them when I was about 15."

"Maybe the EU will sanction them due to human rights stuff"

"The mags as we knew them are dead."

"Theyre absolutely nothing to us man"

"Let them have fun in Europe. It will still not be enough for them or the Arabs, and it will end in tears eventually."

"There’s 6 teams from England next season in it, considering you can say for certainty which 12 teams in the PL definitely won’t qualify, it’s more difficult not to qualify."

There's 6-7 teams qualify for Europe via the league every season....why haven't they done that once in their entire history if its that easy.

Still not sold out their biggest game in years, where’s all these MLF’s who all go to the games whilst our plastics walk around in gravy stained shirts.

Coventry were the better team Sunderland played them on the break.

What the fans overlook is the quality they dont have.

I watched the game and failed to see a 30million  Ballard a 40million Jobe and 20million Rigg a 30 million Cirkin a 20 million Hume

Is it that long since they watched quality every crumb becomes it on the pitch.

They are truly a dreadful side and can't see one current prem side dropping a single point against them

So what we have left on Wearside is totally delusional overhype that will hit the rocks v Coventry v Sheffield or v Prem 38x next year.... either way they are of amusement

Now where's me red and white teatowel I have some sportswashing up to do.

Another post declaring that Sunderland are primed to be a top half PL team. A feat they've achieved 3 times in living memory.

Also, a gentle reminder that Sunderland have scored a grand total of 5 goals in their European history. That would make them our joint 9th top scorers.

We've literally had a net negative spend this season in terms of transfers, why would uefa have an issue, they think we sold Elliott Anderson, almiron and minteh whilst bringing in only osula who we never play and Lloyd Kelly (who we've now gotten rid of) just for the fun of it?

Sunderland fans just done seem to get how ffp works at all, they still think it's the 2000's where owners can just bank roll their teams and that's the only reason we are doing well.

Because we would be in breach of UEFA’s 70% of turnover spend requirements?

UEFA’s FFP rules are not the same as the (current) PL rules

It will be like 70% of turnover vs the pl's 80% based on the new rules I think, anyway I doubt we'll be in danger of breaching it based on our recent spending and revenue regardless

We’re at around 95% income vs ‘allowed’ spend

First time in this thread for me. Are people wanting them to come up or not?

I do, would love the 2 derbies, adds some excitement to playing the very bottom teams

Though do worry they'd injure 3 players each game 😂
