The first free-kick Coventry had there, I never get why when you're close to the area and need a precise cross, that you don't lay it off to one of the players edge of the box unmarked just to smash it. Could fly top corner, take a deflection and in, surely a higher percentage of a goal?

First time I've watched them this season.  Are they always this bad?

Early part of the season they were actually decent

Loads of energy, pressed loads, zipped their passes about, looked a canny side

Exactly, you’re relying on way more variables, a very good cross, a good leap from your own player, mistimed jumps from the opposing defenders etc. I can understand it if you’ve got a massive height advantage but from that angle you can’t even get a lot of speed on the ball so it relies on a top class header. Just lay it off at twenty yards if you have a player anywhere close to Tonali’s ability at striking the ball

Seen us do it loads where someone like Gordon is standing all on his own about 20 yards out and all it takes is a 15-20 yard pass for him to strike from a good angle, and we don't use it.
