As much as he's a Sunderland player, hope nothing snapped there as if it has its at least 6 months out. No player deserves that

Other way round theyd be celebrating, but that's what makes us different to them.

I try not to judge them by RTG. Most makems I know are fairly sound and aren't actually too different from us. However rtg are a foaming mess of rabid paranoia and bile

Mad fuckers them lot like. Years of languishing in the Lower leagues and they barely give a toss about being run into the ground. Finally got themselves together but they're more raging than ever

All because their owner gave the mags the ticket allocation they were entitled too

Add in plenty of them wanted rid of Mowbray and now they're whinging they never

Weird what that draw to us has done for them as a club. You could argue Mowbray would still be in charge and the fans would be united behind the owners. It's been knives out on all levels since the ticket allocation. Even if it were at SJP, things would have been very different.

Never expected the Beale In(g) movement to have such immediate results. Well done to Uncle Jimmy’s Cov yesterday.

:coat:

They said on Total Sport yesterday that Sunderland have had 9 managers (17 with caretakers) since Mark Robins was appointed at Coventry. That wasn't even 7years ago.

Mackem mates who didn't like Mowbray despise beale saying it's much worse. Asked if they were being unreasonable about Mowbray upping players games for their lofty aspirations. Still waiting on replies, call us fickle though the idiots

Really glad their form is as shit as ours coming into the derby.

It's not really comparable to be fair, Our league record over the last 3 weeks since Dec 7th is P5 W1 D0 L4 GD-6 PTS 3, plus going out of the League Cup and out of Europe completely. Their's is P6 W3 D1 L2 GD-1 PTS 10, they've beaten the current 4th, 5th, and 6th placed teams in their last 6 matches.

It’s levels though.

We might have lost to Luton and Forest, which is hardly great, but in the last two weeks they’ve lost to Bristol City and Coventry and drew with Rotherham.

But they're obviously not going to win every game. They're 7th in the league, albeit very tight, but their form is OK - they've beaten WBA, Leeds and Hull this month, unbeaten in 2. They are doing OK in the 2nd tier, they're not in terrible form, like what we are. Had they had like 4 points from 6 or 7 games or something, then fair enough, but it's unfortunately not that bad.

If we were playing Hull or Bristol City no one would care about their form. I know the stakes are higher but really only two things matter for this game:

1) are we still in a rut with tired legs?

2) does the occasion get to us?

If the answer is no to both we will smash them.

But if we were playing that level of opposition, we wouldn’t have lost 6 of the last 7 games.

We’re moving in different circles now.

Having said that, there’s obviously a psychological aspect that regardless the discrepancy in standard of opponents, it’s not ideal to be losing.

If we put in a 7 or 8 out of 10 performance we’ll win. Just have to make sure we do that.

We're a league above them, we have better players, we should be better than them, we should be beating them, if we don't it will be an upset, that's common knowledge, even if they won 6 on the spin, but the point was they are supposedly in shit form, when the reality is they are simply not.

1 point from 1 game

4 points from 2 games

4 points from 3 games

4 points from 4 games

7 points from 5 games

10 points from 6 games

Unbeaten in 2 away games, so their immediate form is fine, and Rotherham beat Boro at home 3 days ago. Slightly longer term 10 points over 6 games is like 77 points over the season, and pretty much always enough for the playoffs. They would be expected to finish somewhere between 6th and 10th at the start of the season, they are currently in and around there, 'form' is often 5 or 6 games, especially if it's over a 3 week period, and whilst they've clearly had a couple of poor results, they've also had three very good results and are generally doing as expected, whereas we are currently doing worse than expected, especially since the turn of December, so despite playing at a different level, which is common knowledge, our respective form is not the same, theirs is as expected, ours is poor.

We are indeed going round in circles, but I'm happy to continue [emoji38]
