I remember "Geordies" chants from Sunderland.

And "marra" is often used in, especially former mining parts of, north Durham and south Northumberland which are predominantly Newcastle supporting areas. It's not really a Sunderland thing as many suppose it to be.

Marra originates from Cumbria, from the lead mines. Two young lads working the ventilation shafts were known as half marras, sharing a wage. When the Cumbrian lads moved to the Northumberland and Durham pits the term was incorporated into north east pit yak

They're furious that Brighton are buying Minteh. Apparently it's a loophole and Bloom is being bribed by the Saudis.

Long may it continue. It's about time we started using these loophole things

Trying to say now that Clarke will be worth at least the same  A player who has not played one minute of top flight football against against a player who has played champions league football and is a current full international.

Had a look across at RTG, some surprisingly reasoned takes, sprinkled in with the usual deranged shite

No they will be going spare at this. It’s Mag-Saudi corruption brazenly out in the open. Bribes all owa the place man. Why haven’t the government and the king made a joint statement decrying this? It’d have been like Christmas Eve for them last night dreaming of a points deduction for us. But once again the spawny Mag comes up smelling of roses.

It must be upsetting to learn that a winger on our books who has never kicked a ball for us just went for three times what they hope Jack Clarke is worth …

Already twitter debates on since how Archie Gray is going for £35m how much more Jack Clarke, Jobe et al are actually worth.  Bless them ;D

Sensible decision by rigg.  If he joined a prem side. He’d either be in the reserves or loaned out anywhere and everywhere for a couple of years.  At Sunderland he will get first team football probably quite often.

wonder if any club approached him with /Sunderland and had the offer of staying at Sunderland on loan next season. But chose to stay there as their player instead.

Nice coup.

Since Rigg and his family held all the cards in the negotiation, would imagine there is quite a low release clause to get him out of there whenever he wanted.

Might be our only way of getting him as those fuckers would never sell direct after the Black & White Bar incident.

Sensible decision, must admit everytime I've seen him play for them, he hasn't stood out. Only 16 though so not really surprising. Best to stay at that level and grow in surroundings he's comfortable with, as he would only be loaned out by a premiership club
