Considering the joke was that this was offensive 30 years ago. That’s some going.

Was really out of touch 'bantz' like, two older blokes trying to be funny and failing.

Gutted about this. The main one can be a good host but he's done offensive lines before and refuses to accept he's done wrong (called folks "puffs" as an insult, albeit not a jab at homosexuality as such) but kicked off royally about him being asked about his Parkinsons at SJP once. Billy can get close to the knuckle without crossing the line.

It's the only NUFC channel I like so I really hope they listen to themselves and improve. I think someone needs a word in the main one's shell-like because they're aiming for more mainstream recognition but you absolutely cannot go on with casual discrimination of any kind.

We have had it on a few times and its the first time i noticed it but was so often you couldnt not miss it. They seemed decent enough craic on other pods

Is big joe playing as a sweeper / defender?

He did the last 10 minutes of the game. Krafth just ran out of the pitch when they had a throw-in and didn’t come back.

Endless 'Japanese' craic, so many references to people looking like Mr Miagyi, the 'sorry' in accents when they foul us etc.

Oh and the haw haw Japanese people are tiny jokes

That will be the big lad Paul and probably his mate with the yorkshire accent, Billy I think he's called. Both are neanderthals, I only watch that when they have the one called Statto on it, he's the only reason for watching/listening to it.

It's Paul who usually comes up with the shit banter tbh, not heard that much from Billy, but can imagine it wouldn't take much to get him giggling along.

Just finished graft and seen highlights. We was livramento on the left when he conceded penalty?

He was on the left. But looks like he moved across as cover on their attack.

What’s people’s thoughts on the attendance today? 13k seems very poor. Any reasons why so other than Mike Ashley.

We just aren't that big/don't have the big name players to draw neutral punters I'd guess.

Symbolises how much work there is to do. Despite some very top level marketing supporting the 3rd kit launch while over there.

Success will give us more fans overseas but it will take time. Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea have dominated the Asian market for years, it will take time to build a following.

Urawa averaging 36k in J League this season.

Impression I got from watching Japanese football was I'd imagine they probably rather spend their money watching actual league football than daft kickabouts. Particularly in the middle of the season.

We aren’t much of a name (although our away end looked full FWIW so people who cared obviously went) for your average Japanese punter, it’s absolutely minging hot in Japan at the moment and their season is in full swing so it’s the ultimate level of pointlessness. Plus it was just after work finishing.

Football in Japan is big but not huge, games don’t sell out for domestic games on a regular basis even less so for teams with legacy WC stadiums. Saying that I thought there’d be more there. I went to watch Urawa play when they were in top v second clash and it was full but not a sell out by any stretch.

Be interesting for the next one as it’s being played in a neutral venue so way further for Yokohama fans to travel albeit for Tokyo based football generic fans it’s 100% easier to get to compared to today, it couldn’t be convenient given the size of the city, and it’s a Saturday.
