Coffee_Johnny
Good work out for the lads. A few looking a bit ring rusty.

I’d be tempted to play Wilock although again I feel he’s more a no10 than a deeper midfielder. Really hope Tonali hits the ground running. He's fine. And has a top level skill he provides for the team, in pressing and breaking up play in midfield. The issue is having him in there with a Longstaff and an Almiron. The combination of these three is always going to make our build up suffer. What we need is Tonali in for Longstaff and a more capable right winger. Wouldn’t be so bad if whoever was on the right of the 3 had quality on the ball, passing or running with it. But Longstaff and Joelinton are both more about what they do out of possession. Hopefully Tonali and Willock are available for a lot more games this season.
BergenMagpie
Think Tonali will get 10+ goals this season. Especially if we dont buy a new RW
Cronky
There's a problem because Hall has been given the licence to get more forward and more central, but Joelinton isn't covering the gap that he leaves. Perhaps he doesn't really have the mobility to do that, but their goal arose from that problem, and it wasn't the first time that the problem arose. Barnes has wasted a few opportunities due to poor technique. Yokahama look the better side, but they're already match fit and are more used to the conditions. Matt1892
That Jean Claude at the back looks a tidy player, he is only 20 so would be decent to pick up cheap and loan out. Usually plays in the holding midfield role according to transfermarkt.

Coffee_Johnny
Fairly even on stats 52-48% possession, and 8 shots (4 on) to 6 (2 on) in their favour. They definitely looked more threatening/coordinated in attack to me though.
Donut
Miggy looks deflated and completely off it... Not just his general game (which has been shit today again) but also his body language.

Training? Definite difference in normal energy levels with him and with Tino. Both looked like they were running through treacle trying to get back at points. mighty__mag
The guy they keep calling Jean Claude only 20, looked decent, is he filling in at CB? He's looked fairly comfortable considering almost every football info site has him down as a striker?

Terrymac1966
I agree about getting pace at the back the Palace lad might be just 6ft but his anticipation pace and game reading is as good as if not better than Schar. Won't bang on about how poor Longstaff is lets just hope he's a bencher or Leeds still fancy him. Adds zilch.....

His passing, his decision making. He's deteriorated as a player, and is offering almost nothing in forward areas.
