General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)

Quite like the current badge but it is a little 'busy' for want of a better word. Can totally understand why they would want to either simplify it or change it completely, it's just natural progress over time, things and trends drift in and out. Not quite sure why there's as much outrage before we even see any official suggestions though. I can understand why people are a little annoyed because they're more attached to it than I am but one or two have gone waaaaay ott about it. 

 

Just going to wait and see what they come up with tbh, might like the new ones, might hate them all? Who knows yet

 

I'd also be interested to see if there's a correlation between the people who hate the idea of a new badge and also hate the idea of moving away from SJP? Maybe some people just hate the idea of progressing/moving on/hating change? I'm not one of them but some people are obviously thinking differently

If its not designed by hand, by creativity, by someone with passion, undersrands heritage, someone who is a gifted designer, preferably a fan or Newcastle or related, then that would be sad.

Obviously you wouldn’t want AI doing it but it’ll probs be used at some point. We’re all amateurs trying to do mockups

The probability of the redesign being awful is quite high. That’s the worry. Companies and designers get this stuff wrong all the time.

 

Would they do a sonic, and make changes when we inevitably think it’s shit?

A few tweaks to that and I think it'd look alright.

• In the center circle have the shield from the current crest, a bit like the shield currently on Man City's.
• Replace the two dots with smaller versions of the sea-horses, and remove them from the center. 
• Make the castle bigger so it fills up the center of the shield. 
• Invert the colors on the outside, so its black with white text. 

If I had any sort of Photoshop skill, it'd try and make that

Something I wouldn’t be against incorporated in a new badge (which I am not happy about us doing) would be the blue star with the city skyline in it. 
 

Just don’t want us to go with a generic circle like every cunt else.

Has there been a badge change recently that’s been better than the old one? The circular one Villa changed to was awful. Juventus’ is also so shit. There was also that monstrosity Leeds tried a few years ago.
