Just watched the whole episode.

He says a couple of things that people won’t like (that Ashley and Bruce were alright), but l generally I thought it was decent.

It strange because in some ways he’s a very simple, basic character, yet in others he’s quite complex.

It’s worth a watch anyway.

Course he thinks they're alright. He was likely on £60k a week here and Bruce let him do what they wanted.

He kinda rebuffs that point on Bruce, but tbh I don’t want to go on too much cos that was only a very small percentage of the whole thing, so shouldn’t put anyone off watching.

Watched that last night, glad they're back. Thought they'd scrapped them TBH, as hadn't seen one for quite a few matches.

when did we stop announcing a man of the match?

Since Scott Parker won it so many times he got to keep the trophy.

Transcript from Onedeck's booth about 20 year ago:

"Who do you think should be man of the match?"
"Fucked if I know, give it to Parker"

When did we last score directly from a free kick? Feels like ages

Am I forgetting any or is it the few Trips scored after his arrival?

Without looking at the stats I feel like direct free kicks are barely scored nowadays anyway? Villa scored one away to Leeds before Xmas and I remember Szobozslai (sp?) against Arsenal.

We currently have one player on 9 goals all comps (Nick), and three on 7 (Gordon, Bruno, Barnes).

Last season only one player made it to double figures (Isak). The two seasons before that three each year (Isak x 2, Wilson x 2, Gordon x 1, Miggy x 1).

Decent chance of four players ending the season on double figures (maybe Wissa could be a candidate too)- wonder when the last time that was in top flight.

edit: I didn't check all seasons, just some I thought candidates. I think it would be 01/02 when Shearer, Bellamy, Nobby and Robert all reached double figs. (Did in first champ season - Carroll, Shola, Nolan, Lovenkrands)

One down (11). One more on 9, two on 8.

Any excuse to rewatch this. Can't imagine anyone shooting from there in today's game

Lived in North London at the time, couldn't get a ticket and watched this in the Arsenal pub right outside of Highbury and Islington tube with some Arsenal supporting mates, what an afternoon that was

Doesn't fall under his remit and I can't explain why but it feels like Ross Wilson is responsible.

Needs removed and the GOAT, Andy Howe, given his well deserved opportunity at the helm.
