It’s not though.

Courtois and Donnarumma are among the worlds best neither is excellent with the ball at their feet.

Pope is especially bad though aye.

And both won’t be around in the next few years. Game has changed. All the young keepers coming through will be ballers.

GD just turned 26.

The super ball playing GK is utter woke nonsense.  Arsenal would’ve won something by now if they kept Martinez.

We lost so that's probably why it hasn't been brought up, but his save from Partey's header was ridiculous. I'm sure there was some element of luck, bit it was still incredible.

I think Popey has been pretty brilliant overall since he joined the squad. Perfect? Of course not.

Poor earlier in the season and a ropey old return for a game or two in the league. But I think he has been great since the knee injury, otherwise.

Really strong second half of the season.

Jeopardy of losing his spot after Dubravka's renaissance? Seems like it, he's been very good since coming back, hard to top some of his shot stopping, you're talking a handful of keepers in world football that can match it.

Schmeichel-esque! Spread himself!

Dubs’ form when he was out has definitely raised his game!

His sweeping up behind the defence has been really good too, allowing us to push higher up

Yep.  That one from Martinelli was ridiculous.

My heart did get up to about 200BPM at the time, though.  I won't lie

I just think for some reason he became underrated by us when he was out. He's a top keeper (except for his passing).

He's at a different level to Dubravka, miles better.

Levels above Dubravka and undoubtedly a top keeper but he did go through a spell after his injury where he looked a bit dodgy. Looks back on form now but I still don't think he is the same player he was two years ago.

He's been excellent for us lately, no doubt about that.

Far better since he’s throwing it out more

Love the whip he gets on his throws, they really skid on after they bounce, is great for someone like Gordon or Willock who have pace to carry it
