Honestly think Ramsdale is no better mind. Guess we’ll have to find out.

Ramsdale is adequate at best, let's not kid ourselves that he's a world beater just because Pope is costing us but that's 3 game changing mistakes Pope has made in the last 5 games now and that can't continue.

So frustrating because there is slim to no chance that Thiaw gets beaten in that situation and Pope just fucked it. Has to be dropped before he costs us more points but we know he won’t be

Thiaw was telling him to stop racing out.

Thiaw was shouting and waving at Pope, say he had it covered.
Unreal decision to make by Pope.

Howe's blind loyalty to him and Burn could end up costing him (and us!) this season. In fact it already has.

So infuriating. I get that when you play like that. You’ll get made to loom a mug now and then. Worked well v Haaland. As it put him off and you need to close him early.

But that was nearly Liverpool bad. Could have even brought him down and avoided a red due to Thiaw covering. Retreated and made the finish harder. Shepherded him wider. Did none of the above.

I don’t want to trash one of our players and I think he has brought more good than bad, 100%. People on here know I have a bit of a connection to the family. But I think he needs to come out the side now. Fans are getting sick of the mistakes and rightly so.

Still not the worst thing he did all game. That free kick at the end was more dubious

Why persist with a keeper who gives the ball away the overwhelmingly majority of the time when we are so shit in possession anyway?

It makes no sense at all.

Yet another mistake from him this season, 7 or 8 now?

We can’t even use him as a passing option in play which contributes to our terrible ball retention and being one of the least press resistant sides in the league. So when he’s doing stuff like this, there’s nothing left redeeming in him. If we’re going to potentially spend £20m+ on Ramsdale, we need to play him before deciding if it’s worth it.

Last thing we want to do is waste even more money on Premier League muck with no resale value.

Pope has been good for us overal but when you have a quality back up the least you can do is rotate.

We have a decent back up. He was miles short of being good enough for Arsenal and despite having loads to do last season and really show how good he could be in a shit relegated team (like Pickford did for Sunderland) he didn't really catch the eye.

That was a major reason that game fell apart for us. Not the only one, of course...but he gave them a massive boost just when they were in a phase of being on top. Denying that is just silly.

He really can do some insane rush-of-blood stuff that costs us a game. The club should get him some sort of mind coach.

The rest of his game is pretty much unquestionable.

Edit: I forgot about his kicking. That's dogshit
