However, you concentrate on that awful loss of the flight of the ball. You can't stand him can you? Which were the 3 great saves? He didn’t save anything I wouldn’t expect a PL keeper to save. As others have said, he was completely all over the place, again. We can all live in a bubble where players and managers are without critique or we can watch matches and realise we really need to strengthen some areas. Max Cherry
How people still defend him is beyond me, he is absolutely hopeless.

Hopeless is a bit harsh, he is still a top shot stopper but noticed yesterday he made too many errors. He has always been a sweeper keeper for us but there was one occasion where he must've had a flashback to Marsellie and was stuck in his box instead of clearing the ball. He was also slow to a pass back to him which almost cost a goal. The biggest priority in summer is a new GK, the scouting team must be working overdrive in the next 5 months to find a hidden gem like Roefs

Similar to when Tonali started his first season against Villa, Brighton, City & Liverpool, then Longstaff came in for Burnley at home at the start of an easy period. Everyone was saying it was because Longstaff came in when reality is we were just coming into a nice set of fixtures.
Lush Vlad
Thought he’s been a lot deeper for crosses, long throws and set pieces. Like he is either playing it safe, he’s his usual rusty self after injury OR he’s been told to be less gung ho. Then just out the blue decides to go charging out, get nowhere near it and then slip over Huge let off. But then he did bail Botman out with that awful header back to him. The saves he makes with his feet are unorthodox and never get praise. But I prefer that to so many keepers that don’t get down in time. Been mostly fine since he’s come back. But he’s a lucky boy that there isn’t yet another massive howler on his ever increasing blooper reel. I’d start him Saturday. He’s always slow to get his sharpness back after injury and Ramsdale is crap.
Sibierski
Hopefully it’s rustiness, but his decision making when to come for the ball is really iffy. The missing of the flight is self explanatory, poor and massive slice of luck on both it hitting the cross bar and missing DCL when it came down. The confusion between him and Botman, he didn’t need to be where he was as Botman was in charge. Then before both I think, there was a ball clipped down our right channel where I didn’t think he was going to make it because he hesitated, but just got there before the attacker to put it in the stands. Shots at him, I’m more confident than Ramsdale though.
Lush Vlad
The fuck up on the header is Botman's fault. Botman could have cleared his lines and then got stuck under the ball. Before attempting a piss weak header back. It was a good job he hadn't retreated or they would have been in either way.
Checko
Yeah, I thought Botman couldn't get the pace on the header and Pope basically bailed him out, though I haven't seen it again in any highlights so might be misremembering tbf
Elliottman
I think its fairly obvious we'll be in the market for a new keeper in the Summer, fairly pointless winging about Pope/Ramsdale until then. We're just going to have to suck it up and hope he can reach his highest levels possible.
Kanj
Mad to me a 6 foot 6 keeper has timing issues coming out for crosses. He can jump up and list his long arms straight up. Should never be getting beat by anyone.
duo
There is no denying he's on the decline- we need a new keeper
Smal
yeah, it's been clear we need a keeper for a long time, but when you look at the quality of keepers across the league it is really, really poor. It's not an easy position to get right.
andycap
Still think he played well yesterday accept for the one headloss moment. We really need to back the lad as he's the best we've got on the books.
Ginola14
he's a club legend but I think he's been riding his luck lately and making too many basic errors Ramsdale got hammered for less which I thought was unfair it's such a tough position though, not sure too many clubs are much better off
Lush Vlad
Ramsdale didn’t get hammered for less, mind. He got hammered for not doing the most basic parts of goalkeeping. Every other shot on target was a goal. Been said 1000 times. But neither are good enough for us now and I’m sure it will be a priority position in the summer. It's not an easy position to get right. It’s because modern goalkeepers are shite generally, more interested in whether they can ping a pass 50 yards than do the basics of goalkeeping. Fuck me I sound like a Boomer here but it drives me mad. When did goalkeepers stop catching the football? Not just corners and crosses but a shot into their body or close to it would be mopped up easily, now everything is just palmed or punched into danger. Stifler
Get him fucking sold. Why the fuck is he still playing for us when we have a better option at the club?

Optimistic Nut
The arguments we keep seeing in his favour are he's commanding (was nowhere for the disallowed goal) and he keeps the ball out of the net. The ball ended up in the back of the fucking net because he can't kick a fucking football.
