If he does it several times every match consistently for 3-4 years then aye.
Colos Short and Curlies
8 minutes ago, Toon No9 said: He saved that ffs! I couldn't work out if he got lucky and it hit the right part of his heel or it was a great reaction to the deflection! Either way there is no way you look at it and say he's done something wrong, it's a good save
Cf
He's been superb for us over the years but I think it's fair to say in this day and age you need a goalkeeper who can play football. Ramsdale isn't the answer I don't think but he makes a big difference in allowing us to keep possession. I think for Pope the game has just evolved past him a little bit. The College Dropout
He gave away a throw in poorly aye. They played a short throw in which we had ample opportunity to defend. A short throw in from that position isn’t dangerous. If it was a corner, I could hear it. But not a throw in that is taken like that.

I don't buy into him being directly responsible for the goal but we lose possession from him far too often. It just invites pressure and that obviously works against us. They don't need handouts giving them cheap possession to do it, but here we are.

Playing Ramsdale tonight doesn't get us any nearer to them.
Danh1
When you’re playing a team as good in possession as them, you don’t need your keeper giving them the ball back every time. Same with Arsenal earlier in the season. We know his limitations, he cannot start next season number one.
Lush Vlad
Ropey old season from him. But I thought he was superb today. Kept the score down with 2-3 smart stops and the sweeping up in particular stopped more one on ones and probably goals, too. He is unconventional and not always convincing with his saves. But at the same time, he is making them look more routine than they actually are. As he is a big fucker and moves his feet to get across early. Also weirdly better at saves with his feet than he is with his hands. Which is odd. As he can’t kick a ball

He made some fantastic saves today; otherwise, the defeat would have been even heavier. And he's really got some nimble feet. I'm reminded of the moment with Thiaw when Watkins got a shot off and almost nutmegged Pope. Unspectacular, but a great save.

He is the best in the league at those. Not with this one. As it was through his legs. But I think he gets caught out trying to save with his feet instead of diving for it, at times. I think it was City the other week when he did. The amount of times keepers don’t get down in time or almost dive over the top of the ball and they concede. Whereas Pope will just boot it away like he’s playing in goal at 5 a side

Benwell Lad
He's a very good goalkeeper, not a perfect one but does such a thing exist ? Amongst our fans (especially social media ones) there's a strange need to always have someone to pick fault with and unfortunately for him the pendulum of unjust criticism swung his way eventually. nemtizz
Amusing how the expectations of this guy are so low yet they expect him to save everything. Solid as fuck. Didn't kick the ball straight out of play once either. Get in Edited January 28 by nemtizz

Lush Vlad
His at times calamitous style go against him. He is a top class keeper who is shit at kicking. Even with the ricks this season. I don’t see loads of viable options that will be a sure fire upgrade on him. Said for a while it will cost a lot to replace his keeping ability AND improve on his kicking. The latter isn’t hard. The former certainly is. Massive penalty save and the one on one. Just a shame they scored so soon after the pen.

The College Dropout
Singing goalkeepers in this era is so hard. Chevalier at PSG has looked ropey when I’ve seen him. And the replacement today was shocking.
