First game kicks off at midday (first train from Aberdeen to Glasgow on a Sunday arrives 12.15), second game kicks off at 7.45pm meaning you’re going to have 15-20k people trying to get back to Edinburgh after 10pm on a Sunday. I honestly don't think it's a cost-cutting thing, more keeping up with the world of design. Football clubs as big as Barcelona are brands (as much of an ugly word that is to tie to a football team) and it just happens that minimalism & reducing number of elements is where design finds itself at present.
