Non-league in this country can still cost like £20 a match. For what is basically going to be Canada’s 2nd professional sports league (Canadian Football being the other) it’s still decent. A couple of pizza’s cost me $50 the last time I was over there.
ponsaelius
I've got a mate who lives in Moscow and he pays £60 for his Lokomotiv Moscow season ticket - which includes league, cup and Champions League games. Obviously you pay for the quality of the product as such but we get murdered on ticket prices here.
Village Idiot
Cheapest Barça season ticket is something like €150 - up top at the away end. A steal since I commonly get those seats and they're serviceable for what you get to watch, plus banter with away fans can be great sometimes. For a little over €1000 you can get pitchside seats. Note that there's something like a 5-year waiting list to get those, so a Barça ST is really hard to get. But they are really cheap given the product. It's one of the most salient advantages of being fan-owned, since if the board raised prices they would get sacked in the next election.

AsprillasShinPad
Ronaldo rape case reopened Got the potential to get very acrimonious. No way it'll lead to a conviction, way too much time has passed and it sounds like Ronaldo is going to fight back rather than try and settle. Might also turn into another mass trial by social media which never looks good for anyone and usually ends in the twitterati offering everyone out on the internet. Bad times ahead, especially noting the potential for a backlash against the #metoo movement.

AsprillasShinPad
He already tried to settle, it didn't work. I was under the impression that he had tried to pay her for non-disclosure and she had disclosed, hence him coming out swinging. The question of rape is a very different one however. Could go one of several very nasty ways.
Dinho lad
He already tried to settle, it didn't work. It didn't work because the accuser's side is saying that the settlement is invalid for one reason or another.

Dinho lad
Aye, so now they'll settle for more money instead. Did you read the article/interview with her? Sounds reasonable enough if their side of their story is correct (about the settlements process). A hefty payout is the worst case scenario, for Ronaldo (in terms of the case itself), imo. Guest firetotheworks
They shouldn't be saying anything, but if Ronaldo's people have leaned on them to back him, then back him, don't also attack the validity of the alleged victim's story ffs. Geordie Ahmed
Reportedly Ronaldo left Real because he wasn't happy that Real didn't do enough publicly to back him during/after the tax case which is in stark contrast to Messi/Barca. So no doubt that's what has influenced Juve BUT it's just so stupid

'Allegedly' because obviously it's still unproven and the number of years because there's nothing wrong in implicitly implying that it was not during his time at Juventus. Hardly attacking the woman. There's nothing factually wrong about what they tweeted because that's how dog whistle statements like that work. Mentioning the amount of years has nothing to do with the allegations and has nothing to do with them. It's dog whistle bollocks for "Why's she waited all these years to come forward?" and therefore attacking the validity of the accusations imo. Absolutely ridiculous that they're weighing in on it at all tbh.

AyeDubbleYoo
Don’t see why Juventus are tweeting at all TBH. The guy’s accused of rape, he hasn’t had a bad game in the cup or something. Keep out of it.
