If his way is going to Liverpool then we absolutely will stand in his way.

I want him to get a new deal soon but it doesn’t need to be now. He has plenty left.

He absolutely needs a new deal if we’re rebuffing £100 million plus potential offers.

It's not that complicated Craig.

We'll pay him.what he wants and he'll stay.

Or we'll offer him the max we can which will either be good enough for Isak or it won't be.

Not complicated at all.

Isak already unhappy about not getting a new contract according to hope (I think) don’t forget

If we give him the pay rise he wants but he's already indicated that he wants to leave next summer, I can see maybe why the club have hesitated if it means paying out near £10m extra over 12 months if he is going to leave anyway, especially if he and his agent are insisting on a release clause being inserted which could affect us maximising a sale fee.

It's a big risk ofcourse and if it was £10m cost to keep him happy and performing at his best instead of sulking and downing tools then it's probably worth it.

But don't think he's necessarily that type of character and + if we bump him to £300k a week then our wage structure is messed up and you'll get Tonali's agent, Bruno's etc all expecting bump ups aswell from their £100k bracket.

Think we’ve got our chant for that home game (as long as we don’t fucking sell him of course )

“It’s complicated” means I haven’t got enough information and/or don’t know Craig. It’s ok to say you don’t know.

If he does go, do you reckon he'll get booed more than Longstaff and Elanga from the East Stand?

Do you really think Longstaff will get booed when he returns?

I think most are happy he's gone.

‘Let us buy Isak or we’ll buy a player you intend too.’

We could just buy him, nobody has said he'd choose Liverpool, nor has anyone said you sell us your player.

It's pure shite, don't get too drawn into the media bullshit.

If we want Ekitike we will submit a acceptable bid, and start negotiations, we dont need Liverpools permission to do anything.

I love Isak but I don’t see why he needs a new contract right now when he’s only half way through the last one. Not a fan of that kind of thing at all.

But obviously I’ll be happy if he signs one

This type of mentality doesn’t work in sports today bro. literally happens across every major sport. We gave bumper deals to our best players already. Alex is due one.

It's not complicated at all. He wants top money as he knows he can get it if he moves. We will either give him a pay rise or sell him in 12 months.

The road block who said no is now gone too. Fucking idiot too by the way. Nothing worse than retrading a promise, fucking no way to conduct business. Mitchell again a complete utter waste of time and space. Even more insane that Eales signed off and brought this cunt to our club.

I think we’ll give him more money with a release clause of sorts for next summer. Hes not going to sign a long contract and price himself out of any more with no release clause. I also don’t think he’ll force a move.

Yeah I think that's fair enough. We'll obviously make the release clause high enough so that if it's triggered it's a fee that we can live with.

The only way we should even consider an offer from Liverpool is if it is ludicrously large. If they are willing to pay £116M for Florian WIrtz, then shouldn't we be holding out for £250M for arguably the best striker in the Premier League? We'd be selling to a Champions League spot rival. We'd be selling to a team that is seemingly flush with cash. We'd be selling to a team that desperately need a player in Isak's position. Everyone is panicking like Liverpool hold all the cards. Do they fuck! They have the draw of being Liverpool, and historic and recent success, to attract the player, but in terms of negotiating a sale they can't make us do a damn thing. All this talk of bracing ourselves makes no sense. Either Liverpool offer what we think Isak is worth (i.e. £250M) or they can fuck off. And the idea that they are using their approach for Ekitike as a bargaining chip is laughable. It makes no sense.

This is ramping up towards a sale.

We'll say Liverpool shouldn't have made it public next. Then begrudgingly accept a bid because Isak was unsettled.

Not like you to be so positive.

Of course he won’t. Right time for him to go but his contribution will be duly appreciated always.

I remember Everton fans singing 'money won't buy you Stones' to Man City, see how that ended.  It actually will
