The cunt was a vanity signing and certainly one benefitting the agenda of the Dippers to disrupt a competitor off the pitch.

You do wonder if the lack of other clubs being in for him was as a result of scouts reporting that he wasn't worth that sort of coin.

While that’s true that does not account for his lack of fitness also players more to new clubs late in the window and even deadline day so don’t get all that time to work with the new players so nah it’s just excuses

Woltemade had zero preseason with us, straight into the league and hit the ground running so that kyboshes that theory, then you've got Hall with zero preseason and several months out injured hitting the ground running too, there is no excuse for Isak's current form other than himself.

Imagine trading the adoration of thousands and more money than you can spend, for even more money than you can spend and being universally disliked and ridiculed.

It could have been so different if he had had some level of common decency with how he left the club. I hope he serves as a perfect example to others that are thinking of following his path, that this is what could await you.

As someone said (ok it was me…), the grass isn’t always actually greener. We set up around his game they won’t.  Just need us to win something and them to not and us to finish above them for the full Nostradamus hex to come to pass. May the wish be the prophet of the fact.

If Isak had a preseason with Liverpool, he'd still be mourning Jota now wouldn't he?

What a load of toss. They're not playing to his strengths, which makes him a far more limited player than most realised when he played for us and we did.

I can hardly believe Isak was supposed to be so good at Newcastle.

At Liverpool, apart from that one goal last week, he hasn't achieved anything at all.

He's so bad that I have to laugh at Liverpool paying €145 million for this unlikeable player.

He was brilliant at times for Newcastle but he'd also disappear far too often for a top player. While big Nick plays 90 minutes Isak's arse would be dragging at 65 minutes. His mentality though has proven to be just aweful as opposed to the tall lad that replaced his rodent ass.

Top Pundit Paul Merson knows his stuff mind.

"He's the best of the best and takes Arsenal to another level."

"If I was Arsenal and had the money, I'd go out and buy Alexander Isak. I'd break the bank for him."

"If the Gunners get him, they will win the league by 10 points.".

"Isak is the guy who could transform Arsenal's attack!"

"He's not a one season wonder. He's a quality player."

"This is a club [Newcastle] that put him on the map... Now, he's a world-wide star and Newcastle helped him achieve that."

Was that before or after his tin of Red Stripe?

As much as I can't stand Merson or Arteta, Isaak playing in the current Arsenal team, and the way they play compared to the scousers, would be a good fit for them. Despite the fact thaqt hje can't play for more than 60 minutes, has no stamina, shredded groin and is an all round cunt.

Hate the bloke now but not going to rewrite history to say he was anything else but amazing for us.

Even on his worst days he was a threat and be there for a tap in or a screamer from the edge of the box.

You could argue Murphy laid it on a plate for him but it's the ones he created for himself that I can't understand vanishing.

Surely he can still friggin shoot like that without a preseason!

Isak is an incredible centre forward if you play to his game.

I’ve never seen a calmer centre forward - he made it look like he had a lot more time than he did when presented with a chance.  He’s the best I’ve seen in terms of finding space and finding his spot.  He’s also a very clean striker of a ball.

He wasn’t much good at one-on-ones - when he had time to think - and volleys, which suggests a slight flaw in technique.  He didn’t really beat players.  The funny thing is that I think if you ask the usual gobshite pundits (including Merson) to name what he’s good at, I reckon beating players in a dribble and one-on-ones after breaking the line would be two of them.  He’s isn’t Henry despite his frame and wearing the 14 shirt for us.

He did go on that mazy dribble against Everton. I’d say he’s more than good at dribbling, just the last season at us, we saw far less of it.

He never did anything like that again - it was a one-off.  I mentioned in an earlier post that despite the Everton assist he didn’t actually do this.

Many players get injured for 2,3,4 months and then return to form quickly. This rat missed training for 2 months and 3 more months later he is still sh*t.

Did he miss training for 2 months though?

I seen to recall he did train, but just on his own. He missed a few days or maybe even a week or so, but he trained after that by himself.

Signing Isak is definitely one of those scenarios where Liverpool were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

Long may that be the case.
