Of course it’s worth it but he won’t sign a new long term deal without a realistic release clause.

£250mil Saudi-Only specific clause, yeah?

What do ya speculate is realistic for Isak currently?

IMO him/his agent would like it to be around £100-120m which would mean quite a few teams would probably make an offer. We probably don’t want to even think about selling him for under £150m.

Has to be minimum of that for me - say he does go I want to see at least two strikers and a CM come in with the money.  If Liverpool were to offer £100M and Elliot and we decided to sell I’d be okay with that personally .

Wonder if he travels tomorrow.

I hope so. All the speculation and noise would only do harm. No matter what the reason is.

Don’t know what’s funny about that, I said if we decided to sell, I mean he’s currently injured and there’s Elliot is way better than Longstaff, it leaves us £100M to bring two strikers in. Isak would be missed sure but I personally think he’s not going to sign a new contract but I hope he gets fit, has a blinding season and I’m wrong though.

Why wouldn't he?

The first actual cause for concern if he doesn't.

The supposed injury? Think tomorrow will answer any questions about his future this coming season tbh.

What? The ring.

Reminds me of this (lyrics kind of work if replace Frodo with Isak). 🎵 Isak don’t wear the ring, I know it’s very tempting… 🎵 (rap version at 1:37 is hilarious)

Shouldn't stop him from travelling though.

He has no reason not to, unless he's from planet soft cunt.

Just shaking my head at us having the money to pay him what he wants but being resigned to losing him because we aren't allowed to.

Yeah but as soon as you pay him you’ve raised the wage bill then the gloves are off - everyone angles for more. This is fine if this is the decided route and I’ll be all for it but as the wages creep up and eats into PSR even more people can’t complain next windows when we don’t spend. If he wants this then there’s a massive decision to be made and I’m personally just wishing we had proper people and experts in place to deal with this.

The whole system stinks, and of course it's happening at a time we can legitimately say we've got one of the world's best on our hands

The plane they’re using is equipped with very comfortable looking seats which turn into beds. No physical reason at all not to travel.
