How honorable and respectful of them to finally put a bid in.

Don't think we'll sell him without having someone else lined up FWIW.

Classy, some might say

Never got the impression he liked being here tbh. Always seemed aloof/detached from fanbase. A bit like Batty...sees football as a job and a job only

I didn’t either - even the interview with Shearer where shearer was bigging him up he was so stand off and seemed only half interested.

I'm more confident that he'll stay than I am that he'll go at this stage.

I don't agree with what he's done, but I do understand it. Once he didn't go on the tour, going to Soceidad to train makes sense to get him away from local press, issues with fans etc.

If he doesn't report back for training next week then I think the clubs hand will be forced, but I fully expect he'll be back at the back end of next week when the other lads are back from Asia.

As time ticks on, the one thing I'm most worried about, is that if we can't get another couple of strikers in, we'll end up accepting a bid that's £90m plus Nunez or something.

I think he’s gone. They weren’t going to bid unless they were encouraged and are going to bid again. Should tell them not for sale at any price

So you're believing Liverpool puppet reporters that we have encouraged them to bid again? Sorry bollocks

Be surprised if he didn't know that already.

Just saying quoting “they’ll win the league with him” was not worth writing as they currently already have a league winning team.

Numerous centre mids have gone for ~£100m in recent seasons. £120m for one of the best strikers in the world is ridiculous, especially seeing as we clearly have no hope of properly replacing him
