Not saying Wissa is Isak level, but let's say he'd taken and scored all the pens Mbeumo had last season...

Wissa: 26

Isak: 27

He's clearly a good enough stop gap vs rushing into the wrong young marque striker.

Been trying to make this case, I really have.

Someone just posted (on another forum) an Indykaila tweet about a 120+5 mil deal in the process of being hashed out between the clubs. I’d be raging if that were anywhere close to the truth.

This is the Kentucky Fried Chicken guy, I wouldn’t worry.

It's not about Wissa, or Isak really. It's about having TWO competent strikers at the club. If we sell Isak we need to bring 2 strikers in, simple as that.

I hate her so much. She's actually said on The Overlap "I don't even know why I'm here". Makes crude jokes and kills any banter or football wisdom that is bubbling. Rio talking about how Keane and Neville were discussing how getting a point away was a good result while in the shower. Jill's contribution "I was just picturing Keane and Neville in the showers" Fuck off you, mackem twat. Fucking token. Of course the best Overlap episode was the football watchalong Us vs Liverpool 3-3 where she wasn't there.

I enjoyed the Duncan Ferguson episode.  Maybe he could fill in a little rat.

Agree we need two. There's been a lot of chat about who Wissa 'replaces', though, with the vast majority of it being that he replaces Wilson. It's more nuanced than that, IMO. Wissa replaces Isak's goals once you factor in the penalty discrepancy. In fact, I'd really struggle to identify a realistic striker target who would be a better 'guaranteed' replacement for the goals we'll lose if Isak leaves.

Not hard to see who is leading the rhetoric on this transfer.

Meet Alexander Isak's controversial agent who FIFA investigated and brokered Chelsea deals

Alexander Isak is being advised by an agent who's found himself at the heart of several controversies in European football since the early 2000s, with Newcastle being his latest battle

Probably not a very popular opinion but don't think I'm ever going to hate on this guy.  Disappointed in him obviously.

But without him last year we almost definitely wouldn't have lifted any trophy.

I definitely no longer respect him.

Penalty in Newcastle v Liverpool game. Isak on the pitch. Taken, goal.

Knee slide, kiss the badge. BUT FOR WHO?!

Shirt up over his head, revealing the hidden Liverpool strip underneath. Then goes on to score an 'accidental' own-goal hat-trick :huff:

Goes on strike but won’t submit a transfer request.

Makes you think.

£££ "Loyalty" Bonus

Hopes article explains nothing new other than if he misses a competitive game ( which he will) the club will be disciplining and fining him.
