Don’t like the hinting toward a likelihood of selling Isak and going until January with Wissa and Gordon as strikers, like. Downie said that recently apparently and now Hope in that article.

That would be absolutely unacceptable and whoever is responsible if they go ahead with that madness needs sacking.

Anyone else sick of reading about this cunt?

Absolutely. Treat him like the petulant child he’s behaving like. Ignore him until he’s calmed down then reprimand him and drum into him the ramifications of his actions. There’s three years left on his contract - he’ll do as he’s fucking well told.

This was always clearly the case iyam. You don’t go from happy to be here in May to wanting out at all cost in July without someone twisting your arm. Hope he tells the cunt to do one after he’s back in the club’s good books and firing on all cylinders, which is still my dream scenario.

Would be the dream scenario. He blames everything on his agent and comes back and signs an 8 year contract

Nothing new at all. Fines aside kicking in which you’d expect as a message to the other players if nothing else. He could never expect to behave like he has and go completely unpunished.

That article mentions is a scenario where we let Isak go and plod along with Wissa and Gordon up front throughout the season[emoji38]. Surely that's never going to happen. That's basically writing the season off before it's even begun.

You will never reach your destination if you stop to throw stones at every dog that barks.

He can go on strike now, and for the next few games, once September hits it's a long time to get splinters and kick cones. Forget match fitness, it's his sharpness he'll lose at a critical time in his career. This is a World Cup year and Champions League is on the horizon. I don't know which Athletic journalist said it, but this feels all too similar to Harry Kane's Spurs saga. He did all the things Isak is doing now. I don't see Isak staying for two years like Kane did, but I think we'll get one more season out of him and ample time to try and strategize for life after him.

We also have to remember who his agent is—a dodgy bloke that clearly only has a few clubs in the bag. The top dogs like Mino Raiola (RIP) never used these strike tactics because you run into a situation like ours where he's on a 3-year contract and we have no need to sell. Then you're going back with your tail between your legs trying to negotiate a new deal and an exit clause. Hard to do that smoothly when you've been a pain in the fucking arse all summer.

Isak always struck me as a switched on lad, but the fact he's agreed to this makes me reconsider that position. For all the talk of Liverpool being respectful and geniuses, I think we've actually played a blinder in the circumstances. Eddie has left the door open while maintaining self respect for the group and our ethos. He hasn't thrown Isak under the bus, which has allowed the higher ups to tell Liverpool they either pay up or piss off.

that's Hope's melodrama scenario. If he actually believes that is a feasible one...

It’s getting more likely the closer we get to deadline day.

He's a piece of shit whether he plays for the club again or not. Difficult to see any way back for him but I'm happy to see him self-sabotage one of the best seasons in his career, fuck him

My feelings stronger than disrespect stem from how fucking stupid he is. We honestly could have finished 2nd and we've improved the fucking squad. We should be counting sleeps until Saturday like little kids but his idiocy has derailed all of that. Two steps forward five back because he's a cunt.

What's the reasons he isn't getting fined?

Because that’s what you’d do not to inflame a situation. Time and place for them. Easier to be backed (when he starts missing games) via the PFA which I believe they need to be to an extent (?).

If we went with Wissa and Gordon until January, we would be going with just Gordon from mid December, once the AFCON starts.

Not watched Keith's video but hope he was just throwing that out there as his thoughts not a club actual plan/decision
