2 weeks wages for every game he refuses to make himself available for, a whole season (league games) would be £5.2 million (@ £140k/week) that'd be a laugh, plus CL plus cup games.

It is starting to be pretty universal across the board now. Even the ones that want to defend his position and in their nature dislike Newcastle are all struggling to defend the indefensible. 

 

You can bitch and moan and tell your club you want to leave but the one thing you don't do is refuse to do what you are being paid for. By all means frown and don't celebrate goals or whatever you want but if we pay you and you have a contract just fucking get on with it you self entitled prick.

Why do these cretins need an agent in the first place? Are they all thick as mince? Surely you would be better off negotiating yourself a deal and taking a slightly lower wedge than paying some parasite a fortune to get you an extra few quid a week?

Or maybe they've been driven by Isak just being a cunt? Seems to me like he felt entitled to a move and spat his dummy, anything about it being agent-led is just PR fed to our local journos to try and keep a door open for him IMO.

Agents, or at least good ones do a lot more than just get transfers. They basically PA players lives. They organise the personal trainers, nutritionists, solicitors, PA'S, social media, arsewipers and whores. Some are very good and want a good relationship with clubs, many others are parasites.

 

The one thing I liked about Chris Sutton was that on one of his moves (might have been Norwich to Blackburn) he used thebPFA to negotiate his deal cutting out any agents. Dont know if he done it on other moves.

The agent is just trying to keep the noise up - nothing in any of the updates. Isak has behaved terribly in the hope we soften our stance, but we shouldn't accept anything under £150m and with a replacement/s. This looks unlikely to happen so he either writes his season off or knuckles down by taking the flak.

 

We shouldn't be offering him a new deal and I questioned if that was true or spin by Romano. Personally if I was a fan of another club not sure I'd want him with the baggage he will come with. His agent is 60 and looking for a big pay out, but realistically he will want another before he is 65 so Liverpool might as well enjoy him for 2-3 seasons then watch him go to Real Madrid or PSG.

I have a hard time believing the rumours he made it known he wanted away. If the club knew he was pretty much a goner, why is he in kit reveals and the promos with Asprilla and co.

 

He only kicked off after the Ekitike shite following Austria.

If you’re a superstar already you probably don’t need an agent taking a cut of your deals. Clubs will offer you close to whatever you want anyway. You can hire someone to coordinate all the PA stuff without asking for a percentage of your earnings (honestly more star players should do this).

 

But when you’re young and just breaking into the professional scene a well connected agent is huge in terms of finding the right club for you, maximizing your earnings, putting the right support people around you, and building your public image for marketing purposes. And if you feel like your agent has done a good job for you at that stage, there’s a great deal of personal loyalty and friendship built up so it’s hard to cut ties even when you don’t actually need them anymore.

The timing off it all is so strange , we would have had Ekitike if Isak had thrown his toys out the pram a few weeks earlier as  Liverpool wouldn't have gone for them both at the same time . No way did either us or Liverpool knows Isak was going to start behaving like this only a week or so later .

Whilst I agree that his behaviour proves the last sentence I don’t believe that for a second. Awfully convenient for that to come out now and the other day being the first anyone has heard of it. And while I normally hate the whole “it’s the agent not the player angle” at this point I can’t help but think that he’s receiving bad advice. Even if you’re hell bent on getting out of dodge this summer, there are smarter, more nuanced ways to do this.
