Kanj
His teammates will accept him back if they believe whatever he says and he shows true emotion and remorse. If he’s insincere they will never trust him again. I assume he’s smart enough to think about that. He’s truly fucked off friends he’s made over the last 3 years. Vile, stuff. I’d never in my life consider that with all the money in the world. Money doesn’t replace the bonds you have with your brothers man. I’ve never seen anything like this in sport. Even the biggest asses in American sports don’t do this.

No one is coming in for Bruno now, his chance to go to a bigger club was last summer when we had PSR issues, and he had a release clause, no one stumped up the money. At the age of 28 in November, the big clubs in Europe are not going for him. He might get a move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia in a couple of years when he’s on the decline, but by that point we’d be looking to replace him in anyway. He did a documentary for Sky recently, and it’s clear that eventually he wants to go back to play in Brazil at some point. There maybe a club or two between now and then, but his next move is not an upwards move. Bruno is the type that could play until he's 35 without regressing much imo. Miles Garrett and couple others this off-season. But it's all about leverage. The good thing about the NFL is that they continuously fine you and you don't get paid which forces the player to make a deal or report back to the team. Does Isak still get paid his full contract during this whole thing? That just seems crazy. This team would be so good right now with him playing like he did last year. If Isak had the guts to pull a T-Wolves Jimmy Butler instead I think I'd totally respect him for it

Isak destroying the first team in a practice game playing with the bairns, screaming "You can't fucking win without me" at Tindall before immediately stepping into the pre arranged interview with Luke Edwards. You really don't have to do much at all to settle the fans down. He could come out and be utterly hostile... as long as he scores, he'd get away with it. The problem is convincing his teammates imo. I think it'd take some grovelling, but also think they'd let bygones be bygones if they had the best striker in the league there with them.
Emotic
Not much room to move for either party, to be honest. We can't "ship him overseas"- other clubs know of the fiasco and like Liverpool, they'll lowball knowing he's on strike. Only overseas options who'd give any money near his valuation are Saudi Arabia, or at a pinch, Turkey. Him staying with us presents a whole nother problem with reintegration, given how he's shit in the swimming pool anarl. Not sure how it was with Suarez, Gerrard and the Liverpool fans last time, but it'll be a true test of everyone's patience and fortitude, especially Eddie's. hallihg
I understand the comparison to NFL and it is interesting but NFL is also different. The NFL has a salary cap, heavily unionised, contracts and wages for certain types/positions of players with x experience are almost standardised re upper wages amounts, the owners are most certainly colluding with re wages and some lines that should not be crossed, and one game gone wrong and you could be dead or likely have CTE. Holdouts in the NFL are a little more understandable if you outgrow your contract due to less player power/agent power imo but some have also gone wrong. St1pe
This is where I’m at with this. Just want him gone now for a good fee. I’m sure his agent and Liverpool have played a major point behind the scenes turning his head but it’s his decision. It’s a such a shame for a player who’d have gone down a hero after helping bring our first trophy in so long.

Contracts in the NFL are non-guaranteed, which means as far as I’m concerned every player in the league should feel free to fuck over their teams at any opportunity. Insane that it’s like that in the league with the most injuries and shortest careers.

WilliamPS
Expect the nonsense to peak this week as it’s in Liverpool's interest to ensure he doesn’t play next week, could mean another comedy bid incoming. After they are done wrecking Newcastles start it probably gets resolved with him returning to the squad. Isak to be on the bench for Leeds match. Googled that Zlatan quote and the source appears to be Facebook, so looks fake. Also Zlatan won’t have a fucking clue what the league cup is called these days. Newcastle Fan
It's been said in the media before but what's most annoying about this situation is his and his agent's shitty behavior, it's fine saying you want to leave to another club and wait for an offer to come but to not train or play and let the team start the season hamstrung is really undoing all the good work he's done for us, and making him look really bad.
