Not much room to move for either party, to be honest. We can't "ship him overseas"- other clubs know of the fiasco and like Liverpool, they'll lowball knowing he's on strike. Only overseas options who'd give any money near his valuation are Saudi Arabia, or at a pinch, Turkey.

Him staying with us presents a whole nother problem with reintegration, given how he's shit in the swimming pool anarl. Not sure how it was with Suarez, Gerrard and the Liverpool fans last time, but it'll be a true test of everyone's patience and fortitude, especially Eddie's.

Thankfully we have a manager who is perfectly well equipt to deal with this awful situation.

I'm assuming that it's going to be quiet until after the game next week, then it'll all come to a head quite quickly.

I'm expecting the moment there is any news we have a fee agreed for Wissa there will be another bid for Liverpool, which will still be well below our value.

Surprise surprise, the African {Liverpool/Man Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea*} Twitter weirdos at it again. Genuinely the weirdest sort. More plastic found there than the drains in Accra.

The only way this gets fixed is to get another striker in, and do it as quickly as possible. Then no one needs to give a fuck about what happens with Isak quite frankly.

But we need to get on with it, we already more than likely dropped 2 points yesterday because we were toothless up front.

Was just thinking. Tonali was out of the game for almost a year due to gambling and it took him a few weeks to get up to speed again, not that it'll happen but should Isak be sent to the reserves I wonder how long it'd take him to get up to standard again.

One of the best defences in the league, arguably, pending a signing or 2 one of the best midfields in the PL and this cunt cant see what we're building, and have built in just 4 years.

I think in terms of depth, one of the best sets of 4 wingers in the leagues, too.

I won’t bang the Watkins drum any more, I’ve done it enough. We won’t sign him due to his age.

With that in mind, Ramos our best option now? He certainly has the best pedigree.

I thought Strand Larsen looked good for Wolves yesterday but I’d imagine he’ll be similar money to Ramos.

Footballing development and achievement is secondary here.

This is about getting as much personal wealth as quickly as possible. Greed at is worst.

I don't think anyone will match his output last season, but as long as the wingers/midfielders can chip in with some goals and Wissa hits the ground running we'll be fine. Strand Larsen for €30M was a hell of a coup for Wolves - there's value out there for sure.

He wants to join a club who'll consistently challenge for the majority trophies, which PSR the last 2 years in particular have dictated there's only 6 clubs who'll only be able to do that, and we're not one of them. Those 6 clubs might have 1-2 bad seasons, but they can put it right. Liverpool are one of those clubs unfortunately.

And I’ll post my point again, how the fuck have the PFA not challenged the current rules on age discrimination grounds, given that it’s materially damaging the earning potential of players in the prime of their careers?

in the fairly recent past, the top clubs would specifically be targeting players in their prime like Watkins, not hoarding those in their early 20’s who might come good. It’s getting to a stage where every player over the age of 26 will be having to pull a Trent and running down their contract if they actually want a move to a top club.

Absolutely, and it isn’t something I’d considered before your post about it last time. It’s very true though. Watkins at 29 shouldn’t be a risk in any shape or form.

I do understand there are footballing reasons for him in terms of him wanting to be winning titles and even i understand his concern about our recruitment not being good, but if those were his reasons he could have tried to force our hand by handing in a transfer request.

He has not done so and as such the club are entitled to assume that he does not want to transfer he merely wants to not do his job and he should be treat as such.
