I'm away on Holiday so am behind on the news - have Liverpool made another bid for Isak?

He's in a museum in Saudi for the next three years living under a glass Cloche

I hope they do come in with another bid and instead of knocking it straight back we mess them around for the week and make out like we're gonna fold only to back out on Sept 1st and leave them with no options

I 'd think that this message should have been communicated to Liverpool and Isak's agents some time ago. Probably was.

Isak said something about  how "others had had their say" and he was (finally) going to speak up. My impression was that all of leaks were coming from him and his agent or Liverpool. Howe has said very little publicly one way or the other.

This seems to me like a leak from the club or PIF. Somebody decided to make this publicly known now.

The only other clear message from the club has been "Isak is not for sale". This goes back to last season. I'm sure that Isak and his agent were told this.

Us sticking to a fee which wouldn't get you a world class striker from a club who've been working to unsettle him all summer isn't the strong stance we think it is.

Yep - us sticking to ‘pay us his market value’ is hardly hardball stuff - but the media will pitch it that way

I'm pretty confused by this whole mess I must admit. I do not understand why would ever sell to the club which has unsettled him. It makes zero sense to me.

Id sell him for less next summer to someone else first.

At this point I completely agree - and I think this is what happens now; he’ll be sold to the continent next summer for less than £150m.

Anywhere but Liverpool.

I don't know how likely it is or will be but I'm still worried we'll sell to those cunts this week. Really, really don't want to reward their scum behavior, or his.

And I also hate Liverpool with a passion, even more so after this summer.

Really think the club would want to get rid if possible. So if they get in a bid that doesn't make them lose face for accepting and we get in replacements he's gone imo.

No chance.  The club have higher ambitions than 9th and a tight race for a Conference League spot.
