Just wondering if the club did put out such a statement, to basically kill off any chance of Liverpool getting him this window, that it could potentially backfire if some club did them a favour, you know, out of mutual respect for such a respectful to deal with club? Wouldn't put it past the wankers.

The idiot doesn't realise is Liverpool only want him if they can get him on the cheap- but maybe he doesn't care and all is bothered about is the 300k pay cheque I'd say he's fully aware of that, hence the action he's taking, trying to make his position untenable and so toxic that we end up with little/no choice but to cut our losses and accept the/any lowball offer those respectful scouse thieves make. Wandy
We are going to buckle on this aren't we? It will be a 2nd bid of £120m with a few add ons and we will cave. The way this has been handled by the owners has been nothing less than completely shambolic. When Isak announced his "exploring options " statement weeks ago the club should have shut it down instantly with a statement of their own saying he wouldn't be sold this summer for any price. Unfortunately we are a rudderless ship right now and are being run in the most incompetent fashion imagineable. If this level of leadership continues they will have a fight on their hands to keep the manager. I noticed Man U fans on redcafe last night saying they want Howe if Amorim goes tits up. duo
Hopefully his stance has only cemented PIFs resolve not to sell him. They'll not want to be seen to have a player dictate to them what they have to do. Any half decent person would have seen your team mates suffering last night and have thought enough is enough- not Isak.

wyn davies
I believe if they wished PIF could really make life difficult for both him and his agent, perhaps they need to whisper a few words of advice in his agents ears.
Wandy
Not surprised about the news of him refusing to back down in the meeting. Al-Rumayan's face at full time was a big give away, he looked sick as fuck and probably shocked that they have had no effect on Isak's stance. Now they hopefully realise how much they have been sleeping at the wheel to get to this disastrous point.

I didn't see any of that in Al-Rumayan's face, if he looked a bit miffed it was probably because of their last minute winner. He didn't even go to speak with Isak, that was Rueben and Solis. Anyone with half a brain can see they're not legit contenders, especially if they splurge another £150M on another attacking player. He'd have a much better pick of clubs next summer, just impossibly stupid from him and his agent. Pair of cunts. This is hindsight though, before the season started everyone thought they were going to walk the league after spending £300m on players, with plenty in hand to spend more. That's when Isak started agitating for a move, all he'll have seen is a club which wins stuff every season and would be one of the favourites to win the CL. For all our progress we are not that level yet, and due to PSR shackles, unlikely to be in the next few years.

NE27
Can I again just reaffirm my absolute disdain for this man. Once this absolute cock gobbler has left the club I'll just wipe any lasting memory of him. Not once has he even acknowledged how fucking shit it is on the fans of the club, who have done nothing but support and adore him. You can want to leave, but to go full scorched earth and just flick your middle finger up to all and sundry, nah, fuck him the little rat cunt. The dippers are never paying anywhere near £150m for him now that Ekitike is looking the business for them. The Isak purchase would be a completely opportunistic one for them and if it doesnt happen they can walk away and shrug, knowing they have significantly destablised a rival for possibly a season.
