Assuming that means it’s likely to be an emotive, pragmatic one, I see a scenario whereby, if it facilitates the improvement of the squad (by necessity) then they’ll sell at whatever price they consider allows that. It’s like saying an estate agent can only value a house at a figure he could himself afford on mortgage payments. We can value the asset at whatever we want. Despite the fanbase hating him and the manager/players no longer wanting to work with him, he stays and everyone has to work together to put aside the ugliness of the summer for the benefit of the club, fans included. 2. We cave in and take whatever the dippers offer just to get the stench out of the club. After selling our most valuable player at a cut price, we then overpay for his replacement.
