Honestly, Liverpool, Isak and his agent knew something no one else did and I suspected it throughout this. How they knew i don't know though.

They worked together to engineer it that's all. They gambled on us being weak and they were correct. The fact we didn't call this bluff is mind blowing but some people want easy quick solutions and aren't focused on the bigger picture

So what's the plan here? Woltemade is more a number 10 than a number 9.

Are we seriously going into a champions league season with Osula as our striker?

Woltemade is very obviously going to primarily play CF for us.

Modric was Chelsea bound 12 months before he went to Real.

From memory, he did not down tools and fuck over the club though - if anything, his value went up more. That was never going to happen with isak.

Our fans calling him a c*** loud and clear yesterday, said it all. He had to go.

Posting this image in case anyone accuses the above of being copium. Wilson was clearly not a team player and was barely involved in buildup, but Isak's numbers are no better.

Isak dribbled past five or however many Everton players that time, but did it once in one game. He didn't dribble past very many in other games, or set others up, except when shots were coming back off the bar to Murphy.

Fair enough but its also just statistics, something that is not added in to this is that defenders feared the C*nt and marked him tightly, giving a lot more space to our wingers. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gordon, Murphy and Barnes struggle more this season as they potentially pay less attention to the CF.

The extra £5m is because he's given up his bonuses.

But Liverpool pay £125m.

Dick doesn't deserve any - really pray he doesn't win so much as a Charity Shield during his time there

They had already spent

I find it hard to believe that every elite club in Europe was tapped out on PSR,  it even so, more than enough time to sell a player like Liverpool sold Nunez to get the room to sign him even if true. If he truly is a 150m striker, then someone would have at least tried to see if they could free up space to get him at less than that.

We were never ever keeping him after he went public, that was the end.

It would have only been a negative situation all round to try and reintegrate him. £125m is the best of a bad situation, had he and his agent (and Liverpool) not had acted out we could have gotten more. It was all orchestrated to drive the price down.

You end up with two options, try and reintegrate a bad apple who has burned his bridges or take £20m less that you wanted? It’s a no brainer.

There is not a chance he and his agent wouldn't have demanded a similar release clause to what we just got if he had got a new contract. We were screwed whether we gave him one or we didn't.

Then we don’t sign a new contract and make it clear we intend to keep him for the next 3 years.

The reneging on the contract and no further discussions created the space that led to this situation.  We rested on our leverage of 3 years and didn’t even use it to get a premium.

Coutinho downed tools and faked an injury to miss half a dozen Premier League games whilst still being magically fit for Brazil.

Liverpool still managed to make it work for 6 more months and doubled his transfer fee compared to what Barca initially bid... a fee we couldn't even match despite 7 years of mental transfer inflation.

We must have been following different sagas, Isak and his camp made sure we had anything but a strong hand.

And yet look at Wissa.

Isak had 3 years on his contract and no PSR breach deadline, everything else was noise

They were, they have budgets they can't spend like English clubs can. As you know the market is like a puzzle and pieces have to move. For such a big piece to move it isn't easy for other clubs to do that quickly.

Most clubs actually squad plan on a long term basis.
