Wissa put out a post today mate.

The difference is Brentford have held firm.

Today, one day before deadline not while everyone still had time.

I don’t think Wissas carried the same energy either, the door has been left open there.

Point remains, Isak, his agent and Liverpool backdoored us on this. I can’t see how you can be upset with the club, he was never staying after going public.

I still think she had far too big a gob and she’s out for a reason.

Disagree. It’s been a shit show ever since.

Last summer was a joke after she left. This summer has been a joke.

Massive rifts in the club are open for people to see.

She seemed to be close to everyone. Yasir to the players to the coach. She had Influence over all of them. She was a unifying force. We don’t have that figure anymore.  Tha bald blokes didn’t have it. I believe her drive convinced players to join the club.  We made a lot of coups under her. Tino, Hall, Sandro, Isak etc. Nick W aside we’ve struggled to land primary targets. And even he wasn’t a primary target.

I can actually think of a lot of positives re the whole saga, ultimately this may bring us a better outlook especially we are now officially free from PSR limitation for three years

but right now I just want to say fuck off Liverpool Isak and PIF. I need time to take this.

Not sure that c.£80m net ‘profit’ from the Isak sale does remove PSR limitations for three years tbh.

Wow, some of these comments.

The fucker has made it quite clear he wants to leave and has fucked us over. Any other result than sell, was not going to work. He has to go.

Refusing to sell had no good outcome for us. We could hardly have him here stinking out the place.

After 190m spent already, and possibly more tomorrow, we need a big sale whatever way you look at it.

Time to move on and focus on the season, and not bash the club. Makes us look stupid, IMHO.

Yeh all hate should be directed at the rat and the scousers, not our lovely club thats just won a trophy.

150m was a bargain price for anyone who could pay it. World class players are thinly traded.

That would have shattered a record British transfer fee. You make it sound like a routine price.

No. I said if he didn’t sign a new contract everyone would know where they stood. We could’ve been firm and fair then.  Not  talking about a contract for the best part of a year created a gap that we could never close. We lost control of the situation as we thought we had leverage.

We don't know any of the real truth. For all we know we have been trying to get him to sign onne but his terms have been unreasonable or he flat out refused and we are trying to save face in PR by saying that we didn't give him a contract yet because he still had 4 years left.

Either way I'm not disagreeing. He should have been put on a new contract. I remember saying it last summer and I said we should sort it before his form goes up even further because we will live to regret it...and low and behold he went on a run mid season that would have meant any contract talk just jumped into a bracket we could no longer afford.

It was a shit show either way but I've no doubt having the uncertainty with the sporting directors especially Mitchell has contributed to this mess.

I do not care who they buy, how big the is the new stadium, or how nice the new practice facilities may be.

This is embarrassing. I think every fan would have understood any kind of pain we may have had to pay to hold him accountable.

I don't think any fan (I certainly don't) can understand this. Absolutely embarrassing for the club.

I wouldn't be surprised to see PIF Out. Not that I agree but I can understand.

The Isak replacements are going to cost us all of the £100m PSR profit in 3 years. He’ll have paid for his replacements for 3 years nothing else.

He's worthy of that. Hes a one of one player.

Who cares about the British record? The market is at all time high where 65m get you a player who's had a good 6 months in Germany.

If you anchor your price low you get shit deals.

I don’t think any of those signings other than Tonali were a ‘coup’ tbh - Isak had a shite season for Sociedad and wasn’t batting away other clubs with a shitty stick (do you really think after all this he’d have turned a big club down for ‘the project’?), Hall was bought for a LOT of cash from Chelsea’s reserves when they needed it for PSR, and Livramento was bought from a second division club.

We weren’t competing with bigger clubs for those signings - and even with Tonali, there wasn’t anyone else in for him, and I still have my suspicions that Milan let him go simply because they had an inkling of what was coming.

I don't think the time matters tbh, Wissa's been acting out for weeks, not training, deleting social media posts etc.

Again, it’s not really comparable to Wissa. This was a bigger, badder situation all round. We didn’t deliver on a bigger contract and he wanted out and fucked us.

Wissa is also not one of the best strikers in the world, wouldn’t have cost a hundred million plus and Brentford didn’t have Liverpool breathing down their necks. The situations are not comparable.

Nothing good would have come from him staying.

If anything the "letting Milan sell us a dude about to be sent up the river for gambling" part demonstrates incompetence, not the opposite. We just got very lucky that he turned out to be a world beater after that.

Had a bet with someone from work back in May that there was no chance Isak would be sold this summer.

Fuck you Isak, Fuck you Liverpool

That would be the third highest fee in the history of the game - it’s not a bargain price at all.  How many players if they were sold would fetch that?  Haaland is the only other PL player I can think of who’d likely see a club pay it.

Wasn’t she the one who promised Isak a move?

We'll never agree but that's cool. I think he is a fantastic player prone to not giving a shit sometimes, get's knackered early  and when one one with the keeper take 5 touches too many and we get nothing. He also get's hurt a bit above average it seems. Maybe for his beloved Liverpool he'll give his all for 90 minutes.

Fears of PSR overspend when we’ve qualified for the CL 2 out of 3 seasons and not signed a first team player in 2 years? [emoji38]

If remotely true Eddie must be going Alan Partridge on the cereal boxes after being so positive / composed in front of the cameras.

So fearful we offered him a contract not two months ago and we went round to his house last week to convince him to stay.

This is the thing man. Nick W has been signed for a premium.  The other lad will be signee on a premium. Even Isak himself wasn’t signed on a premium.

Selling him for a decent price means he only pays for his replacements for 3 years.  He’s not funding a rebuild of the squad. Spurs bought half a team with the Bale money.  Most of them failed but still.
