I think in this particular instance, whilst a lot of people want to see Liverpool fail, due, mainly, to how things went this summer, it’s not really about that. It’s personal towards Isak. If you gave many the option of Liverpool winning the league, but Isak barely contributing, and being considered a flop, that would probably be accepted as a palatable outcome. But personally to really hammer home the grass isn’t always greener argument and deflate any sense of his own specialness and diminishing just what the team (coaches, tactics and team mates) did for him I think the perfect revenge is they win nothing, we do, and ideally finish above the feckers. I’ll keep clinging to that whilst it is possible. Oh! And a victory at Anfield wouldn’t come a miss as well.

But if given the choice between team success and personal failure, or team failure and personal success, I reckon the majority would go for option one. Not that it’s ever likely to be that clear cut. HawK
£5 on Isak either not being available for our game or getting absolutely clattered by Joelinton in a red card-worthy challenge that literally snaps his ankles off his legs. Go on Joe
