It might not have been £150m we were hoping for, but it was still a massive wedge which would guarantee a big profit for PSR purposes.

It’s 38 games over four seasons if you include Sweden games, that’s an entire domestic season missed, hardly a small issue. But yes there was clearly a lot of games where he wasn’t fully fit. Roids
The tragic thing about his transfer is that both clubs would be fairing significantly better had he not forced the move At least we got some decent comp out of it
jackyboy
I think that Liverpool bought him to stop us from having him. Used to happen a lot in Scotland when Rangers and Celtic bought players they didn't really need just to weaken the opposition team

Optimistic Nut
It's going to be Sol Campbell first return to WH/ Owen back here/ Figo at Barca levels when he returns, isn't it?

It looks like he was only out twice for 25-30 days each in the same season with that issue, and just 5 days last season. It says that he missed 13 games total in his entire carreer to groin issues. Reality is that he played many many games still feeling his groin, and it was a much bigger issue than what it looks like on transfermarkt. HawK
Sorry I'm being right immature now, but is it possible his previous arm and shoulder issues are related to his re-occurring groin strains Notice he hasn't had any arm/shoulder injuries for a while now so the groin strains are creeping in Edited October 23, 2025 by HawK

Took me ages to work out you meant White Hart (as in White Hart Lane) rather than West Ham, who I am fairly certain he never played for. Turnbull2000
Even in the unlikely even Isak does fail, Liverpool have still spent an obscene amount of money for a very strong squad, and will likely benefit once again from a big Saudi cash injection for one of their players. Its not just Isak though if the issue is the manager who can't get a tune of what hes got. If last season was him riding on what Klopp built (and a season when the title winners had it relatively easy by way of competition imo) and now he has to change it by bringing in decent players but not being able to make it work (see Man Utd). Too early to say definitively but could work out that way. Edited October 23, 2025 by madras
