Really couldn’t have gone much worse for him/them could it?

You could call it karma for signing a self serving, egotistical player who would do the very same to them if Real Madrid came calling.

He'd be lucky if Real Betis comes calling.

Alexander Isak is the first player to lose each of his first 4 top-flight league starts for Liverpool since Percy Saul in October 1906.

Having done some AI research on this Percy Saul was the all time record holder for Liverpool in this feat.  So I would like to wish Rat every success in his attempt to be the sole holder of this record the next time he is picked to start.

Exhibit A for the scale of the current decline is Alexander Isak, pursued and finally signed from Newcastle United amid much acrimony for a British record fee of £125m.

He arrived ring rusty from his strike on Tyneside, then picked up a groin injury that put him on the sidelines. To say he has had a false start at Anfield is a masterpiece of understatement.

Slot gave Isak his chance here. If he did not exactly do nothing, he did next to it.

He was peripheral, lightweight, lost🤣🤣🤣

At least he's got his new attack dog to keep him safe from all the hurty word tweets he's receiving from Newcastle and Sweden fans.

Is he as good as we thought he was? Was talking to my mate at the match the day, were we deluded in thinking he’s class?

I hope we were

I can say that I'm not totally surprised of the start he is having. Said countless times last season that having him on was like playing with 10 men.

But he obviously has more in him than he is showing atm.

His record speaks for itself. But I think we’re seeing that it was definitely fluffed by the fact we built the team to service him and him alone.

He’s not the focal point at Liverpool and they’re not going to upend the entire team to play to his strengths. At the minute it doesn’t look like he can cope with that.

Watching their match and it's incredible how much they're not involving him or playing to his strengths. He's never involved.

They'll figure it out eventually purely because of how much they've spent on him, but they're honestly probably going to have to drop Salah and spend again. Until then it's hilarious.

If he is going to be a success, the sooner they move on Salah the better. He looks to cut inside everytime and now TAA is gone, it is rare to see where the supply will come from that side.

Us winning today makes his failure so much better.

I watched their game today. Isak isn't playing well but he doesn't get any service really. Gakpo and Salah never cross the ball. Always cutting inside.
