I do find the treatment of Salah disrespectful.

I mean dropping a player who isn't cutting it is disrespectful?

I suppose you could look at the angle of he's a club legend so he should play no matter how bad he is or isn't fitting in with the current vision.

I still don’t know what it means - wtf is a ‘charger’?

Think he just means they don't have the players to get the  best out of him.

Like having a lambo on the drive but you dont have the keys or insurance or a drivers licence 🤣

Barrages. And slot should communicate with him better.
He’s a legend. He doesn’t always have to start or play but he deserves a conversation.

Has he not had a conversation? Slot did mention after the WHU game last weekend that Salah wasn't happy about being told he wouldn't be starting against them.

I actually agree on communication. Has there been discussion? We don't know. How many conversations? I get that Salah is saying he doesn't know what is going on so you might be right. If that's the case, I fully agree. They should lay it on the line what the situation is.

Salah’s quote makes it seem like there hasn’t been communication

He can go and speak to Slot on Monday morning if that is true instead of airing his dirty laundry out in public.

Love how the Isak thread has transformed into the Liverpool thread, courtesy of a Salah meltdown and Slot being found out.

It's all the more sweeter given what happened with Isak and Slots own assertion that such a thing could never happen at Liverpool.

Yet here we are... 🤣

36k. They were averaging 25k less than 10 years ago though and in fact they've never averaged over 40k in a season in their entire history which is pretty remarkable considering it's the 3rd biggest city in the UK and they are the only team in it.

And we averaged 16k in 1982. Times change.

Times change, and Leeds have never averaged 40k.  Ever.

Ok. They get 37.5k now. Jesus 🤣. Like they couldn't get 40k plus

Carragher was saying recently that we only hear Salah when he needs a new contract. This situation just seems like the natural progression.

Shades of Ronaldo at Man United second time around where he over estimated his ability to have power over the manager.

Saudi seems an obvious move but I wonder if Salah’s ego will allow him to move there just yet.

Think extending him was such an own goal, I get why, but this seemed such an obvious end result. Leave a hero or hang around long enough to become the villain.

Salah is the symbol of them going from a nearly club (in relative terms) to a legit threat for the title and CL on a consistent basis. He’s definitely an intangible that’s hard to replace long term.

Isak has 1 in 8, not 2. (League)

He has 2 in 13 in all

comps.

That Transfermarkt graphic is goals and assists. Isak has one of each in the league.

With Ekitike clearly no. 1, many Isak "appearances" are going to be 10-15 minutes. His goals per appearance is unlikely to improve, paving the way for comparisons with all the worst disaster signings in recent years.

Liverpool's real disaster is their defence, but them blowing their "we don't sign high priced underachievers like Chelsea" reputation away at the same time is delicious.

While not on the record breaking form of last season, Salah still has 6 combined goals and assists in the league. For wide players, Semenyo has 9, and a few, including Gakpo have 7. 6 will still have Salah as Top 10 among wide players. Mbeumo has started well, but only has 6. Even Doku only has 5.

This begs the question of why a "he's shit" type narrative is being allowed to fester. The same about Gakpo too. This is when Liverpool are losing games due to conceding goals, not a failure to score them. "We're wide open at the back and can't defend a corner, but let's blame the guy who's won us the league twice, the last time pretty much on his own" I call that bad management.

Had the displeasure of listening to Andy Cole and Luke Edwards discussing the Salah thing on the radio.

Cole is a terrible pundit. No idea why he gets work. He was just purely on Salah’s/ the player’s side and was failing to see how bad it looks. Dismissed how Salah only talks to the press when he wants something.

Edwards was as annoying as ever. But was making a decent argument against Salah’s carry on.

What a shitshow all round. Oh well

I think Salah is a twat and a little bitch but he has been completely disrespected. Their whole team has been shite most of this season, in part due to the fuck arsing about with their system by buying loads of shiny new toys they didn’t need. When they gave him a new contract they were committing to him, they should have built a team to get the best out of him rather than the utter mess they’re in now. The whole side has been hopeless and the rat has in part caused it. Big player and huge voice to have on the sidelines and it’ll fuck their season.

All this bollocks about Leeds being a rugby city. Leeds Utd sell out 40k every game. Rhinos get like 16k.

I get what you're saying ,but I also think you're making the point a bit. In terms of relative overall popularity for a rugby club to get nearly half the attendance of a football club is crazy. It would be like the falcons getting 23k when in reality they get like 5k.
