I have a great deal of confidence that Howe will deal with it skillfully. But to jettison him when we have all the cards, and there is only one suitor that has acted utterly cuntish toward us, is just unbelievably cowardice and self destructive.

I'm now pretty adamant that any deal with Liverpool is bad at this point. If there is any truth to the saga, their behavior has been utterly abysmal. I'd rather that we try to fuck them over as much as possible.

I've thought for a little while that perhaps Eddie is much more willing to let Isak leave than Yasir is.

 

I don't know why exactly. Some of his comments are very 'hands off', almost distancing himself from the whole thing. For someone who is clearly a massive control freak (not a bad thing) saying things like "someone back in the UK is dealing with it" and using the time difference as a reason seems odd.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if his feeling was that if Isak doesn't want to be here (and seems like he doesn't), fuck him off and I'll work with whoever we replace him with.

Think it’s more likely to be what someone else said. It gives Eddie a chance to put his arm around him and say it wasn’t his call but let’s go to work and we’ll get you the move next summer.

Honestly think that he isn't telling the truth. He just doesn't want to give ther media much of anything.

I think Howe is just using the distance thing so he doesn't have to answer the questions in any detail. He does that kind of deflection all the time.

We should have a rep that we are very difficult to deal with.

I do hope, that even if we get Wissa and Sesko in that we do keep Isak anyway and rotate him, make him fight for his place in this WC year and earn a big money move to a club of our choice, done properly and with actual respect, not scouse faux respect.

Right on. This much more than a player. This is about our reputation as a club, and whether or not others can think they can get away with treating us like mugs. I'd rather our prized asset rot in the reserves for a half season than to give a town full of Listers what they want.

You completely missunderstood what I was trying to say. I meant more that if he tries, want to do this best, but having a bad spell which happens to all players and fans start to boo and criticize him it might turn very toxic. Especially if the squad knows he tries his best.
