To be fair 14 goal contributions in a month is a new PL record. I know Isak has had an insane December and some of Salah's goals have been penalties but I expected Salah to have won it.

Salah probably wins it in any other month that doesn’t have a massive EAFC event on for ultimate team. They’ll want a Salah card front and centre for team of the year.

"Goal contributions" is a stupid stat because it equates assists as equal to goals, when they're not. Isak created more chances than Salah in December, so you'd essentially be rewarding Salah for his team mates being better finishers than ours.

They got Kai Havertz as 130, Hoijlund as 111 and Martinelli, Nunez and Garnacho all above him. Plus it's in euros so they actually value Isak at £80m.

There is a fan vote, but there are other factors and I think the fan vote has almost no impact on the final result.

This is the thing with people getting upset over Isak getting the award over Salah. Isak scored more goals, got the goal of the month, scored a hat trick and created more chances. All while playing in a weaker overall team.
