aussiemag
I think PSG are going to come in with a big bid in the summer. They don’t have a world class centre forward and have money to burn.

LFEE
Isak will be here this season and next regardless where we finish. Beyond we’d definitely need ECL.

I get your point, but they could get a payday and inflate their value at the same time. World class? Probably none. Hakimi is a good shout, but I think he relies on recovery rather than actual defending.

If they can offer Isak UCL and double his salary, I'm sure he would be considering it.

If the money’s right I don’t see why he wouldn’t be interested; guaranteed UCL football every season, a fat paycheck, trophies every season, nice city (for a wealthy young man) and a chance to stat-pad with goals every week. Doubt anyone would be willing to pay the 150 plus million we’d surely be asking for though. We can start worrying once he’s on the last 2 years of his contract. Surly if any club can afford him its PSG. Whether it fits into the new 70% of revenue PSR rules, who knows. I obviously don't want him to leave, but I'm not naïve to think there aren't clubs with the ability to spend huge sums of money that could meet a 150 million transfer fee. Such as PSG. Do PSG really have that much to spend in a FFP world anyways? They spent loads on the Mbappe new contract, he went on a free, and then they spent $187m last summer. On top of this they have changed strategy to focus more on team building as a whole rather than going for a few expensive superstars.. TRon
Honestly, if we were going to sell Isak for big money, I'd rather it was to a club like PSG anyway. At least we wouldn't have to watch Sky having a wankfest over him playing for Arsenal or Liverpool.

They'll just pay whatever fine UEFA throw at them.

I not as confident as some that he stays if we don’t get champions league.

They never really become part of the club - like Ba - and would forever reminisce about NUFC. They could afford it too.

This one wouldn’t be down to psr as we’ll always want him above psr needs. This will be down to his wants and ambitions if he leaves. He may be enjoying his time here but he’s not a Geordie like big Al was so we’d be stupid to think he’s not gonna want more soon if we don’t kick on. Players will always go where the money is really though , if it wasn't for PSR we could give him a contract that he deserves and he would be happy to stay. Due to PSR we won't be able to offer him anywhere near what the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea can . Edited Saturday at 09:34 by Geogaddi

SteV Posted Saturday at 17:14 Share Posted Saturday at 17:14 Now level with Ljungberg for most PL goals by a Swede. Be interesting to know if this, or when he passes him, gets much attention in Sweden? @Nobody
